I didn’t learn this until too late but luckily now I can remedy that error
For me personally, asking a machine to produce you something then having it emerge almost fully formed lacks that creative interest. It feels... entitled.
Don't get me wrong, there is creativity in the underlying AI technology (not least of which is the gigabytes of creative work that was stolen to produce it).
But asking a machine to write you a book, or port you a game, or compose a song is just not interesting or worthwhile to me. Having a thing just for the sake of it feels unearned.
I spent 10 minutes with an ai chat bot to finally get a human, and if I don't respond quickly they keep trying to drop the conversation 🙃
