I just updated all the mini animal patterns to change an embarassingly redundant phrase in the pre-pattern notes. No change in the actual pattern, just wording.
Here's a reminder that these patterns exist and you can get each PDF for 1€! I'll be uploading the next one soon: the tiny wiggling snake.

Ghosts In My Robot
I awoke this morning hearing a strange quiet whirring sound in the room where my #GoPiGo3 #robots Carl and Dave reside.
Tracked the sound down to GoPi5Go-Dave’s #YDLidarX4 scanning the room for ghosts he thought might attack?
No ghosts had infected his brain, but did find a ghost elsewhere.
Wiggling his cables stopped the spinning, but subsequent wiggles can start and stop the spinning.
I can’t deal with ghosts before breakfast, but Dave is playing more quietly now.

Seria podcastów wystartowała w zeszłym miesiącu, a prowadzący z The San Francisco Standard zadali znanym postaciom pytanie: „Jakie piosenki opowiadają historię twojego życia?”
Wybory Ive’a to:
- De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da – The Police
- Main Theme / Carter Takes a Train – Roy Budd
- Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone – The Temptations
- Don’t You (Forget About Me) – Simple Minds
- Define Dancing – Thomas Newman
- This Is The Day – Ivy
- 40 – U2
Opisywał naprawdę złożone uczucia i możliwości.

"Brian Pritchard, first vice chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, was ordered to pay a $5,000 fine, as well as investigative costs, and be publicly reprimanded. No threat of five years of imprisonment. …
When we see an old White man receive a finger-wagging for his crime while a younger Black woman receives five years, we know there’s something more than the pursuit of justice at work."

On the ride back home from seeing the eclipse, the car pulled over so folks could pee in the woods. Across the road, a couple of dogs were deeply suspicious to see a Tesla pull over by their house. They came running out, stiff-tailed and woof-woofing. When we got back into the car, hubby made the car do a loud fart noise. One dog stopped barking and did the puppy dog head tilt. The other dog stopped barking, tipped up his nose to sniff, and started wagging his tail happily. We pranked dogs and they liked it! Best laugh of the day. I love that dogs appreciate fart jokes. #dogs #FartJokes #farts #jokes #prank #pranking

Man nothing raises a Red Flag in the #Occult than when someone directly contradicts the #lore based on #UPG because "nobody ever thought to ask". You're gonna tell me that these beings have been stated to be incredibly close for hundreds of years, been summoned together in ritual for hundreds of years, and in that time have never set the record straight? Rather, *you* and only you have this lore-breaking notion that these entities do not work together based on nothing more than a conversation you claim to have had with them where you thought to ask about this relationship that's been verified through interaction for hundreds of years and were told "Actually I hate that guy, other entities spoke for me".
Nah, man. You were suss before, but now I know you're just winging it.

*After a long day of work, you arrive home. The dog hears you as jingle your keys, fiddling with them as you unlock the front door. You walk through the doorway, and an excited pup greets you, whining happily and wagging a-mile-a-minute.*

found an annoying fault on the #strowger #phoneExchange - see that little pin just hanging out there at a jaunty angle nestled amongst the contact springs?
It’s a lifting pin for the contacts at the top of the pile, it’s supposed to be straight, and attached to one of the contacts.
Instead, it’s not lifting anything and is wiggling around connecting things that shouldn’t be connected.
I guess now I get the fiddly job of replacing the stack of contacts without breaking any 70 year old wires!

Does anyone know of any good presentations or analyses on the level design for open world outdoor environments?
Anything to recommend?I imagine there being major differences to indoor level design, and it's been such a major part of big titles for so long now that surely there must be some established wisdom now, rather than everyone just winging it.

I have continued futzing around with the #Apple #Macintosh #PowerBook 145B. My weekend project was to remove the ancient, decrepit SCSI hard drive (functional, but loud as heck) and replace it with the #Androda #BlueSCSI, a custom PCB with a Raspberry Pi Pico W attached to it. (The Pi Pico W also gives the PowerBook an internal WiFi connection, something the original never had.)
Fortunately I already have some experience working with .hda disk image files from last year's #PiSCSI project, so I had some ready-made virtual hard disks loaded with software I've barely touched.
Today at @mediaarchaeologylab I found a floppy disk for the 1995 Norton Disk Editor, a low-level diagnostic tool that I can't imagine there was much consumer demand for. The disk editor contains some hidden gems of MacIntosh lore I was previously unaware of.
The UI says "The Disk Type bytes identify the type of Macintosh file system in use on the volume. If the bytes are $D2D7 (or 'RW' - standing for Randy Wigginton) then the volume is an MFS volume. If the Disk Type bytes are $4244 (standing for 'BD' or "Big Disk") then the volume is an HFS volume."
(Edit: I don't know if Apple had its own version of ASCII, but while in traditional ASCII hex 0x4244 = "BD," ASCII hex values for "RW" would be 0x5257, not 0xD2D7, so that's...weird)
Randy was employee number 6 at Apple, and a neighbor of Woz. Turning your initials into magic bytes buried in the filesystem you designed seems just so...early Apple.
The PowerBook is now completely silent when it runs. It doesn't have an internal fan. The hard drive motor was the only thing that made any noise (aside from the speaker, of course).
And the BlueSCSI? With a 128GB MicroSD card, it has about 1600 times as much storage as that old 80MB hard drive.

Really, really, really confidence-spurring news that the governor herself acknowledges that the decriminalization bill does almost nothing positive if anything at all. There is no good way to measure any success of this dumbass bill, and we know it won't work because when has the finger-wagging citations of the State, or starving under the penal system, helped anyone?

An aerial view of the old #Kinchela Aboriginal Boys’ Training Home, where an estimated 400 to 600 FirstNations boys between the ages of five and 15 were incarcerated under the policies of the #stolengenerations A report seen by the NSW governments has highlighted nine ‘suspicious’ sites of possible graves.

This #FullMoonArt project took me the full four weeks, cuz I wanted a big, oversized cardigan. I softened it up with a few washes and now I have the perfect cozy winter sweater. I guess this is my own pattern, I was just winging it based on some other sweater patterns I’ve done, and I designed the moon motif myself.
