Mac from the garbage is actually an iMac from 2009 (A1225). For now it will have Snow Leopard and Linux Mint. Later I’ll replace the old hdd with ssd and add 4gb of ram. Kids will enjoy it.

The seller said it was left at the house when the previous owner moved out. I’m told their dissertation is on it.
I have no interest in digging into this person’s business but I love the idea that this thing is a sort of time capsule. I’ll have to back it up for posterity.
