Near-future fiction at its best. I love well-done intertwined short stories like this. It may be a tad too optimistic about us humans, but it's nice to have a smidgen of hope.
A quick read, too. I highly recommend.

Weird day. Woke up feeling fine, but by mid-morning felt crappy and weird and figured my covid luck had finally run out... I *was* around a LOT of people in public places the last 3 days and I did not mask nearly enough. Darn it.
So slept on and off all day. Haven't tested myself yet... I just feel crappy and "off", not really any terrible symptoms. Just blegh.
Going to just vegetate the rest of the evening and go to sleep early and hopefully it's nothing.

What are some folks' favorite classical music radio stations on the web? I find most of the US classical music stations to be blegh, playing nothing but pleasant pieces for background easy listening.
I'd say when I want someone to just pick something for me I most often listen to #BBC #Radio3 (sometimes live, sometimes some of the recorded broadcasts). #WQXR also, sometimes.
Any other recommendations? Doesn't have to be English-language. Thanks! 🙏

What's the issue with Qobuz? I haven't been able to find anything through web searching.
This will be disappointing, I've been very happy with them and use it for pretty much all of my music now ( #idagio for most classical though)

Seriously, there are tens of thousands of smart people working on medical technology and yet being in a (US) hospital is nothing but a constant cacophony of beeps and alarms that nobody ever seems to be responding to.

Thoughts on US tax prep? I've used TurboTax the past few years but really don't like their attitude (it's MY information, not theirs) & my taxes are simple enough that I can handle doing it myself.
Maybe wait until the IRS free filing fillable forms are available?
I DO qualify for using a free-filing partner site, but I dunno... some of them look a little sketchy. I'm inclined to just do them myself. I have past returns from professional tax prep to work from.
