  5. @scalzi it’s one of @cstross’s sentient Moscow Windows NT User Group lobsters from #accelerando. It’s here to help #chatgpt invade us.

  6. Anyone here work at #khadas? I am intrigued by their SBC boards, especially the ones with an NPU.

  7. @KingShawn @Ciantic Well, I do prefer lists because they retain context and/or people I _really_ want to read. I dip into the main timeline, but after 200 follows it’s just too much context switching to read in sequence, and I miss things.

Lists by topic (or groups of friends) help me keep track of things much better (I’m now using #wooly, which lets me swipe between lists on the iPad, and it is a godsend).

  8. I kind of like this brave new world where I can run #vim on an #iPad locally (via #aShell ) and have #SyncThing push back edits to my other machines.

  9. I just filed FB11980196 to #apple to report that the latest #macos #ventura update is still so buggy that #spotlight can’t open files from third-party cloud storage (i.e., ones that rely on the #fileprovider APIs) or their containing folder, even though I’ve set them to always be available locally.

I can search for and open the files using a terminal or Finder, they show up on Spotlight results, but since they are “managed" by #onedrive, I have to click through Finder and open them there.

  10. Dear #3DPrinting folk, I have an ancient
#Prusai3 _clone_ (BQ Hephestos 1) that has an all-in-one nozzle and extruder assembly (single piece of metal from the servo to the tip).

Anyone know what would be the best replacement extruder for this old a #Prusa so I can start using modern nozzles?

I know I will have to rebuild the entire assembly, just wondering if there is an "easy" kit to do so.

  11. Yep. This old adapter I had lying around works, too. #c64 #bmc64 #raspberrypi

  12. This looks like a good use of a 32MB SD card. Now to get it going on a Pi 1, for that extra analog feel. #c64 #bmc64 #raspberrypi

  13. Apparently all of the Sanic rate limiting libraries are broken, and I'm not feeling the urge to dive into how they structure handlers to fix them, so yeah, let's put that overhead on nginx instead for now.

  14. Getting ready to test my second #KlipperScreen box, and then clean up all the wiring… #Klipper #3DPrinting

  15. Got a CHT nozzle clone to try out. Now all I need is for #RoyalMail to ship me my new #E3DOnline extruder. #3Dprinting

  16. This must be a Tuesday. I could never get the hang of #Tuesdays.

  17. So I’ve been trying to figure out what is the matter with #SuperSlicer (no real updates for a while, apparently the developer is busy with other things) and realized that #PrusaSlicer is taking PRs but not merging them - they’re all closed with notes like “thanks, added to private repository”.

Anyone know what is going on with #PrusaSlicer?

  18. OK, so here are my notes on getting @takahe to work in less than 512MB of RAM on the equivalent of a Raspberry Pi 2 (spoiler: I'm throttling it a bit):

Also, it works with #MetaText pretty well, so I'm going to test other stuff (like serverless) soon.

  23. Looking at #rk3588 and #rk3588s SBCs. I like the potential, but they are getting close to the Celeron n6005 power envelope without aligning on performance, so the pricing still doesn’t quite make sense…

  24. Okay, #StableDiffiusion 2.0 now has a slightly better idea of what a #3DPrinter looks like, but not necessarily of where someone using it should be:

  25. Since we’re nearly at the end of #2022, I think it’s safe to publish my usual Year In Review post, covering #life, #work, a bit of #industry stuff and some #health topics:

  26. I definitely do not recommend #Sunlu #PETG.
A temp tower, retraction tuning, etc. and still getting pretty bad results.
Going back to Amazon Basics for the next print…
