  1. @brett I use SpaceMouse Wireless and it is great for both 2D and 3D navigation in #Fusion360, #SolidEdge, #OnShape, #PrusaSlicer, etc. It took me a couple of days to get used to it, of course. I like rotating the model and looking at it from all sides and angles, zooming in and out to check some corners, filets, etc.

Can you go without one? Yes, but it makes using these tools flawless and easier vs. with regular mouse. It works in many other apps, too, but its main strength is 3D navigation.

  3. How to print ABS/ASA filament (successfully)?

I wrote down all the tips I have in a blog post. The gist of it is the right infill, heated chamber, glue and magnets.

  4. I'm going to look into what #PrusaSlicer and #Slic3r offer. In the meantime, #Formware has a SaaS utility that is working pretty well for me. Just wish they offered a paid version (service or local) so I could get my stuff processed faster.

  7. I just tried #OrcaSlicer for the first time, I've just not had time to test it until now.

Because it was based on #PrusaSlicer, #SuperSlicer, and #Slic3r, I hoped that I could just import my PrusaSlicer config, but could not because it expected a .json file and PrusaSlicer outputs a .ini, but I might have done this incorrectly.

So I configure a "Generic Klipper setup" and copied the values by hand by comparing settings with my PrusaSlicer setup and a bit of experience and intuition.

My first resulting print, a custim part by me compared to the PrusaSlicer, was worlds apart. The finish was greatly improved with bridges requiring no supports, however it did print a bit slower, 28 minutes instead of 18 minutes, but this might still just be speed settings.

I like the UI, although I am more used to PrusaSlicer, and I especially love that I can access #Mainsail and #Klipper from within the app.
