Pekín.- La cumbre entre el presidente chino, Xi Jinping, y su homólogo estadounidense, Donald Trump, comenzó este jueves en el Gran Palacio del Pueblo de Pekín tras los protocolos de bienvenida, en la jornada central de la visita de Estado del republicano a China.
Ambos líderes abordarán una agenda marcada por la tregua comercial entre las dos mayores economías del mundo, las tensiones tecnológicas, Taiwán y la guerra en Irán, en un encuentro al que Trump llega acompañado por el secretario de Estado, Marco Rubio, y una delegación de altos ejecutivos estadounidenses entre los que figuran Elon Musk (Tesla), Jensen Huang (Nvidia) o Tim Cook (Apple).
Al inicio de su reunión, Trump aseguró que «los intereses comunes de China y EE.UU. superan sus diferencias» y recordó a su homólogo chino que ambos países van a «tener un fantástico futuro juntos» y reconoció: «cuando hemos tenido dificultades, las hemos resuelto» de manera «muy rápida».

Una delegación con ejecutivos de alto nivel
