A silver birch in English wood,
Glistened in the afternoon.
The sun he smiled, the tree she stood,
Glowing like a silver moon.

The plants beneath the silver birch,
Stretched their tendrils in the air.
For reflected light, they reach and search,
To bask in the birchy glare.

The afternoon doth surely wane,
Sun’s light slowly fades and fails.
But silver birch she still remains,
Gently glowing in the English Dales.

We've had a lovely foggy morning here in North Yorkshire and I even managed a very enjoyable pre-work wander to make the most of it.

Anyway this image is not from this morning as it'll take me at least a couple of weeks before I open the files. This is from a week or so ago on a morning which brought our first frost of this winter along with some wonderful light.
