I simply wanted to try out the new Graphitint pencils here, so I drew some random stripes. After blending them with water, I thought it looked like a landscape. I added a few more details, and now the image reminds me of #Dovrefjäll in #Norway I really love the muted color tones of Derwent’s Graphitint range. If I want to add a few brilliant pops of color, I use Inktense pencils. It’s a great combination.

That’s what the residents of #Abstatt are called, which is why a cat is the town’s mascot. Colorfully painted cats are scattered all over town. Various local companies and other groups were invited to design their own cat.

There was a large construction site nearby for quite some time. Now there’s just a lone chain excavator standing behind the construction fence.
The traffic signs were a little further to the left. I wanted to include them in the picture so the drawing would have a bit more sense of depth. 🤔#UrbanSketching

I’ve copied the Japanese woodblock print “Modelle junger Frauen mit Nebelgeweben” by Kitagawa Utamaro I. from the #exhibition "Japan on Paper in #Dresden " at the Kupferstich Kabinett in the #Residenzschloss . I liked the woodblock print and thought it would be easy to copy. I couldn’t have been more wrong!
The patterns on the beautiful robes tested my patience and fine motor skills—not to mention the characters on the right.
