Good morning Mastodonians! Well, I'm a little late. I called in sick to work; I went home early yesterday feeling wobbly and feverish, and today I decided to get some extra rest. Still not 100% but better.
I haven't been outside yet but it looks sunny, warm, and breezy, which is nice. I may slip out for lunch and see how I feel moving around a little.
How're all my friends & followers this morning?

So I have Covid...What a week (more to report later). I am being forced to take some much needed rest. Sitting on our patio right now getting some fresh air, having a warm coffee, and making some good progress in my "The Lord of the Rings" re-read. It is like a warm, cozy blanket on a grey day.

Actually had enough energy to go return a book to the library, pick up a prescription, and come home and heat up a can of soup for lunch, and make some fruited Jello. Because I still love fruited Jello. And Jello is great Sick Day food.
I'm going to change into something comfy and slouch on the couch.

Good morning, Mastodonians! Happy Monday! I know I'm late...but I have reason. I am sick...some bug latched on to me and I was up most of the night coughing. Got chest congestion and a mild fever...took a COVID test and it was negative, thank goodness, but I'm hunkering down and hoping it will pass.
Naturally, I'm not at work.

I was feeling #sick today so I came home early for a #sickday and made myself a cup of #chamomile #tea and of course added it to my tea #journal 😌😌😌
My sinus has been feeling swollen and I think it is draining blood into my throat so I've felt queasy and my head feels a lot of pressure. I think tea is exactly what I need!

In the continuing #SickDay saga:
Today is a team day on site, but being the #RedponsibleAdult (🤣) that I am, and as a team lead, leading by example, I am attending remotely.
Which means asking all the meeting organizer's for today's in person meet fest to please add an online option, because while I want to share the holiday spirit (as per my teams background), I thought I'd spare them the virus.

Crappy sleep including an hour awake in the middle of the night thanks to fever + sore throat.
But still up at stupid o'clock and working from home ( #StayHomeWhenSick please) because my brain is not yet at the vegetate-on-the-couch-sick yet.
At least I "get out" of going to the office tomorrow by playing the "Responsible Adult" card.

It seems I got some random crud: sore slimy throat, super snotty, headache, ...
So there will be no strength training & new PRs for a few days, for which I am bummed.
I did take advantage of our walking pad & got an hour stroll in today.
Just hoping I get rid of the crud before our holidays start.

Well, I've been felled by something that makes me sound like a death metal singer.
I'll be tending to this cold/flu with naps, spicy food, & a restorative tea, so I won't be in the studio tomorrow.
But I do plan on being back next week.
Until then: let me know what foods/drinks you make/eat to help you get over a cold or flu.
Or you can look at my cat, Nigel (who seems to take pleasure in running up to me and sneezing in my face and then trotting off).

Good morning and happy Wednesday!
Currently home with a wicked headache that made it rough to open my eyes this morning. I am generally not a person who gets migraines, but with my body's response to this headache and the feelings I've had, yea - this falls into that category.
Slept some of it off, took some medicine. Still not great.

Wake up this morning with a sore throat and blocked nose.
I'm an atheist, but there's something of the old Catholic in me that believes I'm being punished for my wicked intentions...

Well, I went home about 11:00, got about four more hours of sleep, been in the bathroom a lot (ew), and all I've eaten is a bit of cheese and a banana. Feeling better; I'm sure something I ate is disagreeing with me (vehemently) but these things always pass (so to speak).
I'll order Chinese for dinner...I think some soup and fried rice will go down well.
