Good morning Mastodonians! Physical went well....a lot of it was just checking to see what tests have been done recently to see what we didn't need to bother with. Walked away with instructions to lose weight (duh) and eat healthier, but that's the usual thing.

Now I'm back at the office getting ready to deal with various small things. Another day to go!

I like this fish, but it shouldn’t be here, even during the summer 🤔 This section of Darby Creek is full of Redbreast Sunfish and occasionally Bluegills, but not Green Sunfish. The water is unusually warm right now 🤔

Good morning Mastodonians! Well, I'm a little late. I called in sick to work; I went home early yesterday feeling wobbly and feverish, and today I decided to get some extra rest. Still not 100% but better.

I haven't been outside yet but it looks sunny, warm, and breezy, which is nice. I may slip out for lunch and see how I feel moving around a little.

I woke up today and just felt an overwhelming sense of joy and gratitude for who I've become, and the major changes made in life. It's worth the pain when we put that foot forward to take care of ourselves. Here's to many more sunrises of sobriety, self love, and grace. Bad days still happen, it's a part of being human, but, I am learning to put my attention on other importance. #ThursdayThoughts

I was amazed at how much space I have in the living room now...like, wow. Definitely furniture shopping this weekend. And curtain shopping. And rug shopping. It never ends. By my birthday it should all be together.

Boss is out sick today, so I have to reschedule some meetings and hang tight taking care of stuff.

Had my annual review with my investment advisor; things are going well, hooray. But I always enjoy seeing him. I call him my "Money Doctor" and he wears the badge with pride.

Got my library card last night...woo hoo! Gonna keep my old one active, though. Both offer different services (newspaper access, Kanopy, etc) so I'll be covered. :)

Tonight I'm going to check out the local Y (supposed to be a great facility) and back to the unpacking. A friend suggested I do 1-2 boxes a day and not pressure myself, which seems to be working...of course, I get on a roll...

Good morning Mastodonians! Overcast, warm, spitting rain....just delightful.

Plumber showed up yesterday; got the washing machine squared away but he recommends I replace the water heater sooner rather than later...it's about 9 years old anyway so it's in the range.

Met a neighbor who introduced herself and her family to me, and took an immediate liking to me, assuring me that if ever I have a problem with anyone else on the block, to simply knock on her door and let her know and she'd fix things. Reassuring to know that you have a sassy black grandma watching out for you!

Good morning Mastodonians! Hot & humid, but clear. More rain to come after yesterday's thunderstorm...we need as much as we can get!

Getting closer and closer to moving day...I'm both excited and nervous. I ordered a clothes rack/"portable closet" for my dressing room (an odd little room, only 10 ft by 5 1/2 ft, no windows), and now I need curtains and rugs....phew....and living room furniture.
