  1. 📍 The last of the public stops are settled and confirmed.

The route is real. The flyers are done. The 1979 Ford Econoline is getting pointed toward the road, which is either inspiring or deeply irresponsible. Probably both.

🚐 Sabot Media is heading out for rural / urban solidarity: talks, zines, interviews, workshops, field reports, and conversations with people keeping each other alive without permission.

🌾 These stops are about connecting the fights across the map.

    Small towns and cities.
    Backroads and blocks.
    Punk houses and community spaces.
    Kitchen tables and organizing rooms.
People who stayed, people who left, and people trying to build something worth coming home to.

🎙️ Come through if you’re nearby. Bring questions, stories, friends, local history, people we should interview, and whatever road support you can throw in.

💸 This is still a fundraiser. Gas, food, repairs, printing, and gear all cost money because capitalism remains unimaginative and rude.

  2. ICE Breaker!

AntiFa could infiltrate ICE, since their recruitment standards are so low.

    Be deep undercover.

    1. Leak ICE activity to the AntiFa network, so they can move innocent people before ICE arrives.

    2. If an ICE agent is about to shoot a person, shoot them in the back, and report it as a field casualty under enemy fire.

    3. Spread the word, that this is actually happening. Use all fake news and propaganda techniques. Psychological warfare itself may be enough to drive ICE crazy. Step 2 ( above ) may never be needed.

If enough people do this, ICE agents will become paranoid. Their morale will be broken, as they suspect each other, trying to sus out the AntiFa moles, and worry about being shot in the back. They will think twice about harming an innocent person. ICE will destroy itself from within.

  4. 💸 We need this fund to move.

We’ve been posting the route, the interviews, the events, the purpose, and the dream. Now here’s the less poetic part: we have raised almost nothing so far, and the road trip does not happen on vibes.

🚐 Sabot Media is taking a 1979 Ford Econoline across the region for rural / urban solidarity, interviews, zines, talks, workshops, and field reports from the people keeping each other alive without permission.

⛽ We need gas. Food. Repairs. Printing. Gear. Emergency money for when the van does ancient van things at the worst possible moment, because machines are class traitors.

🌾 This is not a polished institution with grant money and matching tote bags.

It’s a broke rural media project trying to document the fights, crews, histories, and survival networks that get ignored until someone else rewrites the story badly.

🛠️ If you want this project to exist, now is the time to materially help.

    Donate if you can.

    Share if you can’t.

Send the link directly to people with money.

Host us. Feed us. Connect us. Help keep the van moving.

We’ve got dates + cities set. Stops are still building. Now we need gas, food, repairs, gear, and printing to get the Sabot Media road trip moving.

  6. ⛽ Fund the route.

The dates and cities are set. The stops are still building. Now we need the road money to actually make this happen, because unfortunately the 1979 Ford Econoline has not yet accepted political theory as fuel.

🚐 Sabot Media is heading out to document rural / urban solidarity across the map: interviews, zines, workshops, conversations, field notes, and stories from the people keeping each other alive without permission.

    📍 Current route:

    Seattle
    Aberdeen
    Olympia
    Walla Walla
    Tri-Cities
    Portland
    Eugene
    Corvallis

🌾 This trip is about connecting rural and urban struggle without flattening either one.

    Not charity.
    Not tourism.
    Not pity.
    Not extraction.

    Same bosses.
    Same landlords.
    Same cops.
    Same abandonment.
    Same fight across the map.

🎙️ We’re looking for workers, organizers, artists, mutual aid crews, union folks, anti-fascists, old punks, community spaces, and people with stories that should not disappear.

🛠️ The fund pays for gas, food, repairs, gear, printing, and all the little emergency costs that show up the second a broke media project tries to leave town. Charming arrangement. Very normal society.

💸 Donate if you can. Share if you can’t. Send the link around either way.

Every donation becomes miles, interviews, zines, workshops, voices, stories, and connections across the route.

  7. ⛽ Put fuel in the story.

The Sabot Media road trip fund is what turns this from a good idea into a moving van, a working recorder, a full tank, a stack of zines, and actual interviews across the map.

🚐 We’ve got dates and cities set. Stops are still building. The 1979 Ford Econoline is getting pointed toward the people, places, crews, histories, and fights that don’t usually get documented unless somebody broke and stubborn goes to find them.

🌾 This trip is about rural / urban solidarity.

    Not charity.
    Not pity.
Not city people “discovering” small towns.
Not rural people being written off until the far right shows up pretending to care.

    Same bosses.
    Same landlords.
    Same cops.
    Same extraction.
    Same abandonment.
    Same fight across the map.

🎙️ We’re collecting stories, interviews, zines, workshops, conversations, warnings, lessons, and receipts from workers, organizers, artists, mutual aid crews, union folks, anti-fascists, old punks, community spaces, and people keeping each other alive without permission.

🛠️ The fund pays for gas, food, repairs, gear, printing, and the thousand tiny costs that appear the second you try to do something useful outside your house.

📍 Route stops include Aberdeen, Olympia, Seattle, Walla Walla, Tri-Cities, Portland, Eugene, and Corvallis.

  8. 💸 The route is forming, but the fund has to move with it.

The dates and cities are set. The exact shape of each stop is still being built. That means this is the moment to help make the road real.

🚐 Sabot Media is taking our 1979 Ford Econoline on the road to document rural / urban solidarity, labor struggle, mutual aid, anti-fascist organizing, radical history, independent media, and the people keeping each other alive without permission.

⛽ This trip needs money before it needs aesthetics.

    Gas.

    Food.

    Repairs.

    Oil.

    Gear.

    Printing.

    Emergency van problems.

The thousand small costs that appear the second you try to do anything useful outside your house.

📍 We’re building stops in and around:

    Aberdeen

    Olympia

    Walla Walla

    Tri-Cities

    Portland

    Eugene

    Corvallis

    Oxbow

🎙️ We’re also booking interviews, looking for hosts, floor space, driveway space, venues, food help, local contacts, and people who know where the real stories are buried.

  9. 📍 We don’t just need towns.

    We need names.

🎙️ Sabot Media is booking interviews for the road trip, and we’re asking people to help us find the folks we should be talking to before we roll in half-prepared and deeply caffeinated.

    🌾 Who should we interview?

    Rural organizers.

    City organizers.

    Workers.

    Union folks.

    Mutual aid crews.

    Anti-fascists.

    Artists.

    Zinesters.

    Independent media people.

    Old punks with receipts.

    People holding down community spaces.

People who know the history because they lived it.

People everyone says, “you have to talk to them.”

🏚️ We’re looking for stories about abandonment, organizing, survival, labor, community defense, media, housing, food, land, fascist creep, small-town resistance, city burnout, and the ways people keep each other alive anyway.

🧱 Rural and urban struggle are not separate worlds.

    The divide is manufactured.

    The road is not.

📼 If someone comes to mind, tag them.

If they should not be tagged publicly, DM us.

If you can introduce us directly, even better. Human networks remain inconveniently useful.

🛠️ We also still need hosts, floors, driveways, venue leads, food, gas money, and repair support to keep the 1979 Econoline moving.

💸 This is a fundraiser and a call for connections.

  10. ⁨📷⁩ ⁨🎙️ We’re looking for people to interview on the Sabot Media Road Trip.

🛣️ Our exact itinerary is still coming together, but the dates and locations are set. We’re hitting the road to document rural / urban solidarity, radical history, labor struggle, mutual aid, anti-fascist organizing, independent media, community defense, and the people keeping each other alive without permission.

📍 We’re looking for interviewees in and around:

    Olympia

    Seattle

    Walla Walla

    Tri-Cities

    Portland

    Eugene

    Corvallis

🌾 We want to hear from rural organizers, city organizers, workers, artists, old punks, union folks, mutual aid crews, anti-fascists, zinesters, media makers, community weirdos, people who stayed, people who left, and people trying to come home.

🧱 The divide between rural and urban struggle is manufactured. We’re interested in the people building roads across it.

📼 If you have a story, a project, a warning, a grudge, a history, a lesson, or someone we absolutely need to talk to, message us.

🛠️ We also still need venue leads, food, gas money, repair help, and local contacts. Because apparently vans do not run on revolutionary conviction alone. Rude.

💸 This is a fundraiser. Every share, donation, couch, driveway, meal, and connection helps make the trip possible.

  11. ⁨📷⁩ ⁨💸 So what does the road fund actually cover?

Not vibes. Not branding. Not some imaginary nonprofit retreat where everyone learns to say “capacity” with a straight face.

🚐 It covers keeping a 1979 Ford Econoline alive long enough to carry us from town to town.

    Gas.

    Oil.

    Repairs.

    Gear.

Random ancient van problems that will absolutely appear at the worst possible time.

🛣️ It covers travel between rural towns, cities, ports, farms, punk houses, bookstores, union halls, kitchen tables, backroads, and wherever else people are holding the line.

🍞 It covers food, coffee, water, basic supplies, and the unglamorous shit that keeps people functional while doing media work on the road.

🎙️ It helps cover gear, recording, documentation, interviews, field reports, printing, promotion, and getting these stories back out into the world instead of letting them rot in a phone folder called “audio final maybe.”

🌾 This project is about rural / urban solidarity.

It’s about documenting the fights, histories, crews, warnings, lessons, and survival networks that institutions ignore until they can exploit them.

    🧱 The divide is manufactured.

    The road is not.

🛠️ Donate if you can. Share if you can’t. Connect us either way.

  12. 🛣️ They want the city and the backroads suspicious of each other.

🏚️ They want rural people isolated, ignored, mocked, and abandoned until the far right shows up with a clipboard, a flag, and a fake rescue plan.

🏙️ They want city people burned out, priced out, surveilled, and convinced there is nothing past the last bus stop but enemies and dead ends.

🧱 That divide is not natural.

    It was built.

    By bosses.
    By landlords.
    By cops.
    By extraction companies.
    By politicians.
    By media machines.
By every institution that needs us lonely, suspicious, and easy to manage.

    🚐 We’re not buying it.

Sabot Media is hitting the road because the map they gave us is a lie.

🌾 City blocks and backroads are part of the same fight.

    Ports and farms.
    Trailer parks and tenements.
    Union halls and punk houses.
Mutual aid tables and kitchen tables.
    Strike funds and bail funds.
    Forest roads and alleyways.
People who stayed, people who left, and people trying to come home.

📼 We’re going town to town to listen, document, connect, agitate, and carry stories across the distance they tried to turn into a wall.

📍 If your town has a fight, a lesson, a warning, a project, a history, a grudge, a crew, or one old anarchist everyone should have interviewed years ago, message us.

🛠️ If you can host, feed, connect, donate, offer floor space, point us toward something real, or help keep the van alive, reach out.

  14. Balance, Activism, Tension, Reframing, Extremism, To Cultivating Change

The paths of the challenges we face in activism lies in the dynamic tension between the “fluffy” and “spiky”, two forces that shape the progress and direction of movements. The fluffy path leans into compassion, empathy, and collective care, while the spiky path channels righteous anger and confrontation. Both are essential, like two hands working together to break the soil for new growth. It’s vital to resist the dogmatic tendencies that demand purity in one direction or the […]

  16. I'm still rebuilding my website but one thing I just realised I ought to mention more is this little* media activist manifesto, between two and twenty years in the making, depending on how you think of it -- *big, so TL;DR: we can learn from the failures of state, corporate, cooperative, and Indy media, still embrace "citizen journalism" and have our very own media networks to connect and communicate within our communities for radical change, taking inspiration from #ReseauMutu and also the #Fediverse itself to build our own one-stop site for resources, news, events, and mutual aid in each of our localities, block by block, site by site: mediaactivist.com/manifesto/ #media #MediaStudies #Indymedia #RadicalMedia #CitizenJournalism #GuerrillaJournalism #Beehaw #Lemmy #Kbin

  17. We've heard about these horrible right-wing conspiracy theorist extremists and their online "manifestos." How about a manifesto to make sense of everything, but with peace, care, and facts? How about a manifesto that tries to make sense of the current crises we are faced with, and suggests #RadicalMedia, even powered by the #Fediverse, to help change the world for the better? Here's my humble (if lengthy) attempt: mediaactivist.com/manifesto/

  18. #RadicalMedia #RadicalJournalism #Journalism #Media #News: "This edited volume offers a state-of-the-art synthesis of the historical role of radical journalism, its present iterations, and plans for the future of a journalism that is committed to liberatory movements and politics.

At a time of profound crisis and stagnation for mainstream journalism, radical journalism seems to be riding a wave. New outlets, including those – like Jacobin – with a global reach, have sprung up, presenting a new generation of unapologetically progressive publications with an emancipatory agenda. Understanding the role and place of radical journalism becomes even more urgent given the current political climate in a (post) pandemic world with heightened inequalities and intensified pauperisation.

Drawing on contributions from leading academics, this collection considers:

    • How new outlets fit in the genealogy of (radical) journalism and what their flourishing can tell us about the present and future of emancipatory politics and the role of the radical journalist;

    • What these new forms and publications mean for mainstream journalism and its persisting problems of financial sustainability and professional journalistic labour;

    • Important challenges presented by, for example, the resurgence of fascism, authoritarianism and the mainstreaming of the far right;

    • Essential questions of what radical journalism looks like today, what forms it takes or should take, and what its future might be.

Radical Journalism is recommended reading for advanced students and journalists working at the intersection of journalism, politics, and sociology."
