  1. I wish I could export my logs directly from Wavelog to World Radio League *without* having to do a manual export/import of ADIF files

It looks like, WRL does have QRZ integration for pulling logs from QRZ, which is neat, but I'd prefer all my logs to come from my Wavelog instance as my source of truth, hmm

  6. In the process of writing a #perl script to pull my most recent QSOs from #QRZ's #LogbookAPI and import them into a #hugo site, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to get recent ones without fetching the entire logbook.
The MAX option seemed to be the answer, but it's counting from the start; i.e. MAX=5 returns the *first *five QSOs in the logbook instead of the last 5.

    Anyone have a solution?

  16. For this week's #hamchallenge : My primary logging software is #Wavelog. The webserver and backend database both run on virtualized machines in a #HighAvailability #Proxmox #cluster (same one that hosts this instance!). Those are backed up daily to another machine on site via PBS, then those backups are synced to a remote server running in a house in another city.

In addition, my log is also synced to both #QRZ and #LOTW every 6 hours or so, but I didn't think it qualifies as a true backup, since there is some data which those logs don't record.

  20. @colin I do use Wavelog as my logging software. Ther I just configured my #LotW certificates and then forget about it. My logs get uploaded automatically and confirmed QSOs get downloaded automatically as well. Same goes for other services like #eqsl, #ClubLog and #qrz.

  25. Interesting article on QRZ: "where have all the women gone?"

my two cents: we *do* need more diversity in the hobby, whether it's women, trans+ or gender expansive folks, or more BIPOC folks

I don't have a good solution on how to achieve this, but the article does mention how to get widows involved, tho I think it leaves a lot to be desired on getting more folks involved

  30. @BenDoubleU I'm a big proponent of #encryption, but needing to maintain cryptographic keys just to submit a #hamradio log is a bit absurd, especially when you consider the lack of security around the rest of #LOTW.
I've been through the pain of requesting new keys after #tqsl decided that my exported keys weren't valid on my new machine for some reason.
Now I keep my keys on my #Wavelog server and everything gets logged to there, then automatically synced to LOTW and #QRZ. Wavelog also does a great job tracking award progress, too, although QRZ has become my authoritative "source of truth" for awards.

  35. @hamchallenge #hc05s

    Updated my #QRZ page.

Biggest difference from the previous edit: emphasizing bicycle portable operations, de-emphasizing DMR, first mention of plans for HF.
