    Had my #ham radio test today. Next task: Applying for a call sign.🥳

    There were 11 people taking the test, one was a woman, probably two were younger than 40.
    This is quite different from my local club, where, so far, I've not seen anyone under the age of 40. 😬

    Gestern kam die "Harmonisierte Amateurfunk-Prüfbescheinigung" per Post. Obwohl ich per Mail mich am Dienstag schon an die Außenstelle Dortmund gewandt habe, mit dem "Formblatt zur Beantragung der Zulassung zum Amateurfunkdienst" habe ich noch keine Klasse A Rufzeichen Zuteilung erhalten. Sehr Schade das es nicht in einem Rutsch geklappt hat.

    先日、交信をしている際、相手局の方が「アマチュア無線は年齢に関係なく、皆で集まって楽しめるのが良いですね」とおっしゃいました。
    後で一人で考えてみると、ふと「それは若い人たちがあなたに合わせてくれているだけなのに、気づいていないんですね」という思いが浮かびました。

    I feel Signals and Systems isn't too scary if accompanied with #MATLAB, GNU #Octave, #Scilab, or similar. And if you have #ham radio experience, you can do VERY well in this class! This did give me a run for my money in undergrad though.
