A few thoughts on "hierachy" and being "the boss" for Reality Skimming Press. An excerpt: Boss comes from the Dutch word baas meaning “master.” It first came into use around the 17th century as a way to avoid referring to people directly as master because of that word’s connotations to slavery.

Sigh. I have so much work to do today, a considerable amount of it is _overdue_, but sure let's waste this morning/early afternoon prepping for my #PerformanceReview , why not.
I know why we do these this way now. Goal setting, objective assessment criteria reduces the impact of personal bias, favouritism etc.
I know I'm killing it. My boss knows I'm killing it. Sometimes I just wish I could slide a bottle of my bosses favourite #hooch across the desk and they say "Keep up the good job. Here's a raise. See you next year."
Of course I acknowledge all of my #privileges (white, male etc.) that benefits me. And I'm a fucking ray of sunshine to work with so who doesn't love me? #Boss dislike me? Pfffssssh.
Ok I just really hate performance reviews mmk?
