@CppGuy I hope there's some #Aftermarket - #Firmware with some non-botched #Android available for it so you can put #VLC, #NewPipe and other good Apps from @fdroidorg on and not have to deal with that anymore...
Otherwise consider a @Raspberry_Pi #Pi0W2 or #Pi3A+ or #Pi4 instead and put @Kodi or any other #Mediacenter-Distro on that and sell that FireTV stick on eNay...

I mean at worst one could use like a @Raspberry_Pi #Pi0W or #Pi0W2 if not a #CM3(lite) and make it a #thicc and #chonky brick like a #phat #Iridium or classic #NokiaCommunicator...Ideally with like a good thumb-#keyboard and rugged case so it survives being flushed down the toilet...

But in the end it's a different scope.
OS/1337 aims to be the #Software-esque equivalent of "you want to build a gadget? Just shove a @Raspberry_Pi #Pi0W / #Pi0W2 in it!" and thus be the slate for other projects of mine and also a nice and versatile #rescue system that could be configured [ahead of time!] to [Reverse-]#SSH from a system, providing a cornerstone to build something like a #vendor-independent #LOM / #BMC to #upcycle older systems into #headless #servers!

@landley That being said the #Pi0W and #Pi0W2 can be run with batteries and there are HATs to do so.
But I giess we both agree that this is even less elegant than me shoving a Keyboard on a crappy smartphone m amd the only reason to target the #Pi0 is because code that runs on it will run on all other #RaspberryPi #SBCs and almost all clones with no changes.
Not optimal OFC, but it'll run...
