Der neue 51,2V LiFePo4-Speicher mit 314Ah und 16kWh Kapazität ist schon etwas größer und mit 122kg auch etwas schwerer, als die bisherigen Batterien die ich von WattCycle bereits bei mir auf YouTube gezeigt habe.

@mrpjevans yes #sunshine exists even in #UK every once and a while :D cool with the 10kWh #lifepo4 ? be careful with that... better place it outside the house as stated a billion times, need someone who can do #bcp for a #bms for #lifepo4 then it can be handled save.

Replacing the battery of an Eaton 5e UPS

People recommending you manually use a CC/CV power supply are not helping you 😉
Good chargers will let you set what *type* of battery it is, and will correctly charge all major types. I've got a four-cell (four independent charging circuits) that will happily charge NiCad, Nickel Metal Hydride, LiFePO4, Lithium-ion polymer, and a few others. It mostly autodetects the correct type.
They're not stupidly expensive. The model I have is currently $37 Canadian from Amazon:

this is what a bad cell looks like vendor refuses #warranty :( voltage too fast too low or too high (#BMS stops discharging or charging to prevent #BatteryFIRE)

New battery on order (#Bioenno #lifepo4 with a matching charge controller). This should unlock the ability to use one more radio, a 50W/10W/5W old Kenwood TM-261A 2m mobile rig (late 1990s vintage). It wants max 11A amps on tx, more than my existing power supplies can handle.
I'll put this purchase in the "emergency preparedness" bucket, so that I have a stronger battery power source for #SKYWARN activations. I do still need to work on the 2 meter outdoor antenna to match.
