PeerTube is a great platform but just doesn't have the amount or range of videos.
So I've gone with FreeTube on Linux and NewPipe on GrapheneOS - both are FOSS clients that let you watch YouTube hosted videos without adverts and telemetry.
They feel like YouTube from the 2010s and, as usual with current Big Tech, previous iterations were always better.

It hits me time after time that probably the most #thoughtful, #compassionate and #sane #socialmedia threads can be found in the #youtube commentaries under #music clips.
The experience is definitly bether when using #newpipe app as a youtube player though.

J'ai testé : NewPipe, PipePipe, Flow, LibreTube, SmartTube, Freetube
#NewPipe et #PipePipe j'ai des bugs a répétition a tel point que je dois sans arrêt relancer l'application ou la box android TV (je n'ai pas ces problèmes sur mobile)
#SmartTube est fonctionnelle, mais il faut se connecter a un compte Youtube, et j'en ai pas :D
#LibreTube s'en sort pas trop mal mais c'est pas encore ca...
et #Flow et #FreeTube certains menus sont carrément inaccessibles via la télécommande .

Est-ce qu'il existe une (web) #app qui permet de #mixer des #musiques YouTube ou autre. Genre une app de #DJ, mais en entrée ce sont des liens et en arrière-plan ça lit les vidéos (voire le flux audio seulement) avec qqch genre #newpipe avec option de les pré-télécharger avec #ytdlp par exemple. et donc possibilité de changer le bpm, etc.

Was ein Bild... Gestartet sind sie alle letzten Samstag um 12 Uhr in #Wien. Das Ziel heißt dieses Jahr #Nizza.
Die erste Frau, Larissa Unsinn mit der Startnummer #tpbr2025cap51, ist durch den anspruchsvollen #schwarzwald Parcours durch. Allein dieser ist über 100km lang und es sind ca. 2.500 Höhenmeter zu bewältigen.
Der erste Mann erreicht gerade den Parcours am dritten "Peak" - dem #ColledelleFinestre. Die Nordrampe ist eine geschotterte Straße und es sind auf gut 18 Kilometern fast 1.700 Höhenmeter zu überwinden.

#männerwelten hab ich damals live auf pro7 gesehen. Vor einiger Zeit wollte ich es mir nochmal anschauen, bin aber an YouTube gescheitert: konnte es nicht mit #NewPipe runterladen - vermutlich wegen der Altersbegrenzung? Kann man sowas umgehen? Oder müsste ich mir extra dafür einen Account machen ?

I like #PhonographPlus because I can edit the tags. There are so many tag fields! I decided for full albums, some are worth writing the tracklist in a [custom] field. Perhaps there is a better choice, I'm not sure yet but, this will do.

Mein »geheimer Ort« existiert hinter meinen geschlossenen Augen. Für jedes sind sicherer Ort und der Weg dorthin sowieso anders. Deshalb ist es safe, euch davon zu erzählen. Es gibt dort eine gute, kraftgebende Ruhe, einen stillen Bergsee zwischen dichten Bäumen, einen Steg, ein selbst fahrendes Boot wie in den Nebeln von Avalon. Vor allem gibt es da den Wolf. Er sitzt einfach neben mir am Ufer und gibt mir von seiner unerschöpflichen Souveränität ab.
Der Portschlüssel, die Tür dorthin ist mein Song Nummer 6. Nicht immer funktioniert der Portschlüssel bzw. öffnet die Tür. Dann lasse ich es bei einem Blick auf den See und komme später wieder.
