  1. AMD GPU Prices Rebound Slightly As Demand Drops

It’s no secret that GPU prices have skyrocketed lately as a result of increased AI data center demand.…

  2. The leaked files from the disclosure seclists.org/fulldisclosure/20 have since been removed from developercommunity.visualstudi. Someone on Reddit (reddit.com/user/TapAppropriate) posted a direct link to a download from azurewebsites.net that's been taken down now too. The #InternetArchive has the files still at:
    web.archive.org/web/2024062421

Unfortunately I cannot verify whether those files/the link was the original file or a re-upload. But at least all files within `ICE REPRO.zip/Linker/linkrepro.zip' match the size (in bytes) of the originals as given in the listing on seclists.

The file download from there has the sha256 hash:

    d4c1a74f81e5259596466027ebac9f7eb026931c7cef02e5c37d884bbbb7f96f ICE_REPRO.zip

    ---

In addition, the disclosure notes that the MS symbol server does (STILL ONLINE!) leak the PDB of warbird.dll if requested. A backup has been re-upped here: files.catbox.moe/8iz2qk.pdb

Again, the sha256 hash. This has been matched against the original served by the MS symbol server:

    2e8b5e0c17b4a4693ed494444f347f22a2eed15bcade18a5ac25d370011f8aa5 warbird.dll.pdb

    ---

I provide those hashes just for people to be on the safe side while analyzing the files. Keep in mind that accessing those files may be illegal.

  3. @paulrickards I assume something based on the @Raspberry_Pi #PiPico / #RP2040 with a matching #Ethernet-HAT would be able to to it.

Espechally since that #uC is easy to obtain and relatively cheap (compared to a #Pi0 / #Pi0W which were used for the #DreamPi #Dialup adaptor and are still not widely available at #MSRP)...

The tricky part would be #Firmware, not #Hardware....

  4. @[email protected] considering the amount of of @[email protected] 's and the fact that the will lilely not be available at until the or or get released, I can recommend to take a look at , because they have regular 's, plenty of ports, are almost always and also barely sip power.

I do use some as to do and distros and just be things I can offload building OS/1337 to...

  5. @SirTapTap considering the amount of #scalping of @Raspberry_Pi #RaspberryPi's and the fact that the #Pi5B will lilely not be available at #MSRP until the #Pi6B or #CM5 or #Pi500 get released, I can recommend to take a look at #ThinClients, because they have regular #amd64 #CPU's, plenty of ports, are almost always #fanless and also barely sip power.

I do use some #hp #t520 as #MiniServers to do #backups and #torrent #linux distros and just be things I can offload building OS/1337 to...

  7. @fatsam I wished @Raspberry_Pi would improve availability of their products in general.

    It can't be that there's no #distributor that has #CM3plusLite or #CM4Lite1GB or even #CM4WLite8GB at #MSRP!

  8. @sleepybisexual if being able to use it on the go isn't a necessity, I'd recommend taking a look at cheap, used thin clients to tinker with.

They barely sip power, almost all are #fanless and yoi can get one wotj power supply, 8GB SSD, 4GB RAM, Ethernet, WiFi and USB 3.0 for less than the #MSRP og a @Raspberry_Pi #CM4Lite1GB!

  9. @RadicalEdward I wish I had any excess @Raspberry_Pi because @rpilocator is basically my homepage and it's depressing that they've not yet gotten the #PiZero2W or a #PiZero2 without wireless available at #MSRP...

Cuz I do want to use if for the #PocketCrypto...

Same with the #CM4W8GBLite or even the #CM4Lite1GB...

  10. @dashdsrdash @arichtman
I have a hp T620 in use for that purpose and it's fine.

I shoved in a cheap M.2 and connected a spare drive via USB 3.0 and now it does backups and archival duty for less than a @Raspberry_Pi #Pi4B4GB or #Pi400 would've cost me #MSRP!

It's also fanless and barely sips 10W when under full blast as 80% of the case is just a giant-ass heatsink that is bigger than a flattened-out Noctua NH-D15!

  11. @trashheap same.

The only winning move is to refuse to buy a @Raspberry_Pi above #MSRP!

Not that the #Greedflation hasn't impacted those as well.

The only #RaspberryPi that was constantly available was the #Pi400 and that jumped from €99 in 2021 to €130 in 2023 for the Kit and €75 to €100 for the bare unit.

  12. @Verfassungklage Mal schaun ob @Raspberry_Pi es dann endlich hinbekommt dass diese zur #MSRP bei deren Distributoren auch verfügbar sind!!!

  13. @ethanOS thx but I'm still figuring out how to get the #BananaPiZeroM2 #BPi0M2 working as a drop-in replacement for the @Raspberry_Pi #Pi0W & #Pi0 since #RaspberryPi seems more unwilling than unable to get units sold via their distributors at #MSRP.

    Cuz the scalpers charge €60+ for a #Pi0W and €120+ for a #Pi0 v1.3 when both are actually €10 and €5 MSRP.

Industrial customers however seem to get double-digit numbers at MSRP just fine...

  14. :boost_ok: #FollowerPower: Does anyone know a #distributor that actually sells @Raspberry_Pi / #RaspberryPi #PiZero v1.3 / #Pi0 1.3 (NOT #Pi0W / #Pi0W2!) at #MSRP or at least not beyond 300% of it?
Cuz all I see are shitty #scammers and #ValueRemoving #rentseekers aka. [unofficial!] "#resellers" that charge 1.000% - >2.000% of the MSRP and they seem to #bot all the shops empty.
Like it's worse than with the #PS5 & #XboxSeriesX, and that's already shit.

  15. @Natanox As much as I'd consider alternatives to @Raspberry_Pi since their stuff is being scalped beyond insane, a lot of those suffer from poor software support, worse availability and even higher prices.

That being said I do use a #BananaPiZeroM2 / #BPi0M2 since the #Pi0/#Pi0W is being scalped >10x it's #MSRP and I've yet to find a good #CM4 / #Pi4B replacement that isn't out of production, double the price or unsupported by even @ubuntu or #Debian...
