Random #DeepThought about the opinion economy:
People will say "penny for your thoughts." Other people will say, "well, my two cents is..."
We've somehow come to an arrangement where an unsolicited opinion is worth twice as much as one that is actively sought out.
This is obviously inequitable and unsustainable. The overvaluation of unsolicited opinions has resulted in a market failure, where the opinions that people actually want to hear cannot compete in the marketplace of ideas.

#deepthought #hottake The denial of evolutionary and ecological science is to center human beings NOT God. Making the "timeline" and "genealogy" shorter places human importance higher, not the divine presence. A longer time and a fuller understanding of biological diversity actually makes the divine presence even more miraculous and powerful. What a wonderfully vast universe that the divine being has set before us. Don't fall into the trap of pseudoscience in the name of false religion.

It is hard to believe this is Thanksgiving week in the US. This year has gone by so quickly. I could have sworn it was just the end of August last week. The more I think about it, my life has been a complete fog since 2020. The pandemic changed the world. I don't know that anyone has been the same since. #goodmorning #deepthought
