I have decided to now count the times I have gotten such emails.

And a lot of spammy messages on Tumblr by folks who want to get paid to beta-read my manuscripts, but I guess that's a different story.

Here in the Philippines, there was a lot of pre-release buzz that Manila would appear in the movie and so many local film buffs got excited. #10 Shallow Focus is a Disease in Movies – There is a new trend that has influence the production of movies in Hollywood (AKA Commiewood) for many years now and it has literally become a disease which made the viewing of movies undesirable. The disease is shallow focus which occurs when the area of sharpness in front of a camera lens is very narrow which results in blurry backgrounds. Shallow focus is being abused in modern-day filmmaking and it is only getting worse. Today, the scammers got me (again). I received an email, certainly mostly AI-generated, in English, praising one of my novels which I have only published in German.
I am in the mood to write them back some utter nonsense - simply in order to keep them busy for a minute or two, so that they cannot bother other folks.
In fact, I have the idea to write a nonsensical reply which I can copy and paste each time I get another scam email.

This guy spams by comments and surely has a scam worse than a "Nigerian prince".
I also blocked the instance, if you try to look at it you get some fishy code running.

Scenario 1 = scammers create fraudulent social media profiles and pages impersonating FBI personnel, and/or they infiltrate online groups for fraud victims and may attempt or contact victims directly.

Scenario 2 = victim is contact by fake FBI personnel and directs victims to a fake IC3 update page to report a scam or continues communicating through messaging apps.

NOTE: FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) doesn’t have a social media presence of any kind, and it doesn’t investigate crimes or offer to recover lost funds through social media.

These days it seems like any time my phone rings, it's either the person I'm awaiting a call from or:

1. Somebody in Kolkata pretending to be from O2.
2. A dead, flat, boring voice pretending to be from Indeed, wanting me to add them on WhatsApp.
3. A recorded message from "VISA Fraud Department", leading to another voice from India telling me that my life is at risk if I don't give them my card details.

They really don't like being told to "Get To Fuck, Scamming Bastards".

Palestinian Arrested In Quezon City For Stealing Money Bag

For some time now, I have been monitoring the criminal acts committed by people who are present in different countries as foreigners. Here in the Philippines, a Palestinian man was arrested in Quezon City for stealing a bag containing a lot of cash from the café of a hotel, according to a news report by the Manila Bulletin.

As it turns out, the Palestinian already has a history of committing other forms of crime. Could it be possible that, apart from violence and terrorism, theft and an obsession of committing crime are parts of the Palestinian nature?

To put things in perspective, posted below is an excerpt from the Manila Bulletin news report. Some parts in boldface…

A 36-year-old Palestinian man was arrested after allegedly taking a money bag containing P5,020 and an empty cash box from a hotel café on Timog Avenue in Barangay South Triangle, Quezon City, at around 11:06 p.m. on Thursday, July 23.

The suspect, identified as “Ham,” was intercepted by hotel security personnel at the establishment’s exit after the incident was detected through the hotel’s CCTV monitoring system.

Initial investigation showed that the suspect entered the café and allegedly took the money bag and empty cash box without the knowledge or consent of the 24-year-old male cashier.

Recovered from the suspect were P5,020 in various peso bills and coins, the cash bag, the empty cash box, and a backpack.

Personnel of Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) later responded and took custody of the suspect from the hotel security personnel.

Further verification showed that the suspect had previous criminal records for estafa, unjust vexation, resistance and disobedience to a person in authority, use of a fictitious name, and concealing his true name in October 2025, as well as theft in May 2026.

it actually started with an eamil i got from an outlook account i got that told me i have 10.2 milliondolarsi n the bank. man i wante t go by me some pizza s bad with tht money, i could us10 milioon pizzas right now.
in all seriousness, i asked this guy to contact me with an official law firm domain so i can confirm the legitimacy.
and believe it or not, i did actually get a contact from a legitimate domain.
immediately, i dug in.
i decided to look them up on the law society of #ontario #canada , which is a bar association related organization, which all loyers are required to sign up to to become a loyer. and the law society act of canada equires all loyers regardless of practice must be admitted to the bar association.

so i went ahead and checked the bar because they clame to be from "oakvile" (it's actually oakville, get it right) and noticed there was no law firm under that name.

US Treasury Department Prevents Almost $100 Million From Going To Dead People

Federal payments worth almost one hundred million Dollars were prevented by the United States Treasury Department from going to dead individuals, according to a news report by Breitbart News. This is part of the ongoing campaign of the Trump administration to cut waste, fraud and the abuse in federal spending.

To put things in perspective, posted below is the excerpt of the Breitbart report. Some parts in boldface…

The U.S. Treasury Department stopped nearly $100 million in federal payments that have been going out to deceased individuals after establishing a government-wide payment verification process last year.

The department’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service found that the money was set to be sent to “ghosts” after reviewing 885 million payments totaling nearly $2.7 trillion, according to a report by the New York Post.

Since March 2025, the Trump administration’s screening of the funds has reportedly uncovered more than 4,900 payments worth about $99 million that were associated with dead payees.

Payments intended for deceased individuals — often a red flag suggesting fraud — were returned to the originating federal agencies for review before any of the money was paid out, the Treasury Department said.

The department added that it has used the federal government’s Do Not Pay program — which verifies a recipient’s identity, eligibility, and banking information before sending out federal payments — alongside other, newer verification tools.

Last year, after President Donald Trump ordered his administration to cut waste, fraud, and abuse in federal spending, the Treasury Department “significantly expanded” its use of these verification systems, the agency noted.

Blog: The Lily Jay Foundation – A Case Study in Why You Should Do Your Research…

Unless y’all are familiar with my channel or have run into the Muslim community online, you have probably never heard of an influencer named Lily Jay. So, here’s an explanation.

Lily Jay is an Australian influencer who originally gained recognition as an actress, singer, and dancer. However, she blew up online when she announced that she had converted to Islam and began using ChatGPT to prove that Islam was true. Of course, everything she claims about Islam is easily debunkable and her actual conversion journey is so confusing and all over the place that there’s doubt about if she’s a real Muslim, but she’s gained great renown in the online dawah scene.

But if she’s not known for her dawah (Muslim evangelism), she’s known for her humanitarian efforts, primarily through her foundation, the Lily Jay Foundation. The Lily Jay Foundation is “a next-generation social enterprise and high-speed humanitarian logistics firm executing rapid aid deployment in global crisis zones. To maintain absolute speed and independence, we operate as a private commercial structure, rather than traditional charity models.” The main places it claims to operate are Sudan and Gaza, though it’s also operates elsewhere, such as in Uganda and Nepal. The services provided to these communities are water and Quran distribution, orphan care, animal sacrifices, and mosque building.

Now, some of this would sound good since its humanitarian care, but in a recent investigation by ABC NEWS Verify, it was revealed that the Lily Jay Foundation is a total scam built on AI.

The investigation started with a video from the Lily Jay where she’s standing in front of some African kids celebrating the opening of an orphanage in Uganda. While convincing at first, if you pay close attention to the video, there are some telltale signs that it’s fake. First, one of the windows in the orphanage moves. The children’s fingers are also distorted in some shots, and the Lily Jay Foundation sign moves, appearing once, then disappearing entirely. In another shot, a Lily Jay Foundation worker’s shirt had an extra “L” added to “Lily.” Honestly, the more I watched the video over, the more I began to notice how almost waxy the AI Lily Jay looked. She looked too perfect compared to her other videos to the point where I started getting uncanny valley vibes from her.

This video wasn’t the only thing that was AI generated or edited. In another video, Jay celebrates a food truck rolling into Gaza, and for a moment, the superimposed Lily Jay Foundation banner flashes over her hand. She also had two images of her supposedly receiving an award for humanitarian efforts in a press release, but when analyzed, it was found that both pictures were generated using ChatGPT thanks to a watermark imbedded in the picture.

Other problems abound with Jay’s foundation, ranging from the fact that her orphanage in Uganda and a bakery in Gaza, don’t appear to exist, and she’s about as transparent as a brick wall about where the money goes.

This, unfortunately, is the type of behavior that should make anyone wary about giving to any charity and it’s not just found in Muslim communities. Whether it’s Lily Jay using AI to make videos for her foundation or it’s Victor Marx making claims that are impossible to prove, the scammers are out there posing as charities solely to get your money. If anything has been learned from this post, it should be that no matter who you are, you should always do your research first before sending money anywhere.
