I wonder what I should for pet-project-grade self hosting for web apps.
I've been using #Dokku on the existing Hetzner server, which makes simple things certainly simple, but it has its limits and found a handful of annoying bugs over the last ~year I've been using it.
Keen to shop around for something else that uses containers and is still simple enough for simple things, but isn't as much as an overkill like Kubernetes.
Anyone has recommendations?

Over the years Digital Ocean has been my goto platform for pet projects. I've used deployment tools, #Hatchbox and #Cloud66 etc. All great - but it gets very expensive when it's coming out of your own pocket..
Never tried Docker, sure I know what it is and why it’s important. Just never used.
Anyhow.
I thought I'd give #Fly.io a try with my current pet project. Postgres, Redis, GoodJob and Rails.
All deployed. No drama. Super Super impressed and it's cheap.

closing a bunch of open tabs in my code editor; maybe that will help regain some mental spoons, as well as make me feel like #coding again?
Haven't written any code for weeks, and I'm starting to miss it. Got stuck in several of my #PetProjects, and don't quite know anymore where I left things off and what I was planning to do. -

It's far from done, but I felt the code had matured enough from a simple proof of concept to see if Kivy was a suitable #Python #GUI library for me, to one of my #ScratchYourOwnItches #PetProjects that I will slowly work on when I feel like it, to warrant its own repo.

My #Notes #browserExtension for #Chrome is probably one I still use the most...
Should probably clean it up a bit more and actually release it as-is feature-wise, as well as port it to #Firefox.
(Though I would like to add multiple tabs to it, and column resizing isn't as smooth as I'd like...)I primarly use it to copy/paste frequently used #symbols and other #specialCharacters, somewhat sorted by category, into documents. :)

got started on the #Now page for my #blog / site, but as my SO's has to go back to work tomorrow, I unfortunately can't stay up all night anymore to work on it, especially since her first post-vacation day is exceptionally early...
It's a good way at least to get a list of #petProjects and what their current states are.
