- die Einrichtung/Erweiterung des Webservers nginx als ReverseProxy
- und die Einrichtung der NextPush-App in Verbindung mit mollyim, tusky und davx5

für die Verwendung von Pushbenachrichtigungen auf Android-Betriebssystemen wie bspw. GrapheneOS beschreibt.

I didn't know it was possible to find out approximately how many Nextcloud servers were using NextPush: around 6700!

In other good news, using our community-hosted NextCloud service for push notifications is working now on both my Matrix accounts 🥳

Had to install NextPush to get it working with ElementX, but that was pretty quick and easy. I just installed it, logged in to NC and approved the app, and restarted ElementX. Voila! No more error messages.

Bei meinem #ElementX (#LineageOS) schlägt der "Test #Push-Loop-Back" Test fehl. ElementX hat sich automatisch bei der #Nexpush App registiert, und das Handy ist auch in meiner #Nextcloud mit #UnifiedPush registiertet. Soweit sieht alles richtig aus. Aber der Test schlägt fehl. Was kann das sein?

Stimmt es, dass #NextcloudTalk unter #Android kein #UnifiedPush oder eine andere Push-Alternative unterstützt? Ich kann das gar nicht fassen gerade, falls das tatsächlich stimmt. Also, wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe, funktioniert #UnifiedPush mit #Molly und #Nextpush nur, wenn du einen Molly-Socket irgendwo laufen hast: https://github.com/mollyim/mollysocket
Das heißt vermutlich wird Molly bei dir aktuell immernoch über den Websocket die Benachrichtigungen empfangen.
Ich habe ein #degoogled Android mit #grapheneos und ohne Play Services. Darauf konnte ich mit UP und Mollysocket (Airgapped) den Akkuverbrauch von Molly auf einen Bruchteil (< 1%) verringern.

@Petra_h Ich hatte das auch mit @apps, nicht mit der offiziellen App. Ich habe mich dann mit dem Konto auch noch bei @Tusky angemeldet, dort hat es komischerweise funktioniert. Ich habe dann auch mal #NextPush installiert und hatte den Eindruck, dass es geholfen hat ... teilweise ...

Mixed bag. I use Nextcloud with the NextPush app for self hosted notifications. Messages over Element+Matrix work fine. Just lately though, calls don't seem to ring on my phone. They work fine on ELement Web (also self hosted).

I'm using @nextcloud app #NextPush to connect @element , @davx5app and @Fedilab . It all worked fine previously (was using @LineageOS back then) and I still get notifications, but often not until hours later.

For example, I have a message on Element Web from half and hour ago, that still hasn't showed up via #UnifiedPush. I've allowed background operation and all permissions.

Ich nutzte für einige Apps bis dato #UnifiedPush mittels #NextPush zur Benachrichtigung (#MollyUP , #Element , #FMD ). Habe nun aber eine Weile mit #ntfy getestet. Leider wird mir durch ntfy keine Benachrichtigung bei Element zur Verfügung gestellt. Ich habe sowohl https://push.tchncs.de/ , https://ntfy.adminforge.de/ und den Standarte .sh Server getestet. Von keinem kam eine Meldung rein. Erst, wenn ich Element öffne und aktualisiere ploppen die Meldungen auf. Jemand eine Idee wo das Problem liegt?

I tried this but using #NextPush instead of NTFY.

Tapping on #UnifiedPush in the #Dav5X settings instantly picked up UnifiedPush and subscribed, showing my account in brackets. The NextPush Android app showed Davx5 as subscribed.

It seems I had to turn the collection off and on a couple of times before it showed as subscribed, and it still takes about 30 seconds to update. Could that just be #GrapheneOS's default calendar app that I'm using?

#Element #Android can actually use #UnifiedPush so you can get push notifications without #Google #FCM.

I run a #Nextcloud instance with the #NextcloudUnifiedPush app and #NextPush on my phone and it works nicely.
