Wir haben soeben einen Artikel veröffentlicht, der- die Installation und Einrichtung eines eigenen mollysockets (Docker Compose),
- die Einrichtung/Erweiterung des Webservers nginx als ReverseProxy
- und die Einrichtung der NextPush-App in Verbindung mit mollyim, tusky und davx5für die Verwendung von Pushbenachrichtigungen auf Android-Betriebssystemen wie bspw. GrapheneOS beschreibt.
Ich nutze diese Konfiguration u.a. auf einem Pixel10a mit GrapheneOS.
Dadurch wird mein Akku geschont und ich habe mich erneut ein Stück unabhängiger von BigTech gemacht 👇https://www.c-rieger.de/mollysocket/

@forteller Molly has become my goto signal client on Android mobile for this reason. Molly does away with the weird hoops and constraints of the official Signal app, and makes allowances for additional security measures.

Was haltet ihr von #signalmessenger bzw. das fork #mollyim ?
Sind ja auch #bigtech konzerne in #usa bzw nutzen die cloud dienste wie #aws #google usw...
Oder meidet ihr solche apps/messenger grundsätzlich #boykottusa und nutzt stattdessen zb #deltachat #xmpp oder ähliche #dezentrale messenger?
Schreibt gerne eure meinungen dazu was und warum ihr es nutzt bzw nicht nutzt.

Aber irgendwie schaffe ich es nicht eine Benachrichtigung zu erhalten wenn eine neue Nachricht eintrifft. D.h., ich gehe jetzt ständig in die APP um zu schauen ob es was Neues gibt. Kann ja so nicht gedacht sein.

Hi, I’m having an issue with #mollyim and #UnifiedPush at #graphneos. I connected my second phone (same number) to my main account, but I can’t find the “Unified Push” option in the menu.I installed the FOSS version from the F-Droid repo. Any ideas? Could you help me out? Thanks!
