people accept way too easily that you need to get your own damn personal notifications via a random-ass third party server rather than, yknow, your phone itself

just to get god damn notifications on smartphones nowadays

and then they tell you it doesnt work any other way, expecting u to forget notifications had been a solved issue for decades before google and #unifiedpush

Seeing messages from people joining #FDroid to get the app and sharing their experience with a lot of good feedback made me very happy. What I read most often: F-Droid is easy to use, and the export/import feature works well with #Fedilab.

I like ntfy, i use it to mostly for transfer text from one device to another especially when i am working in a non owned device. It is easy to transfer text (for bookmark, quotes, notes) as i am already using #sunup i don't want another push notification distributer so i tried whether i can use ntfy as PWA app through #fennec browser as it use #unifiedpush to send notification. This setup worked great for me so far.

One problem is #fennec need to be foreground or background

#fossdem2026 watching video about #UnifiedPush really interesting idea. I tried it out with #sunup #fdroid app as distributor.

I am using #fennecfox browser, #fedilab , #goguma , #fosswarn apps with it.

Only #goguma configured automatically rest I have changed in settings tab. #fosswarn - Foss warning installed after #sunup so asked after starting the app.

#nextcloud, #davx5, #forkclient statt Telegram, #sunup als #pushclient, Passwortmanager #keepassdx, Galerie #aves, Kontakte #fossifycontacts und Kalender #etar, zum Austausch zwischen Profilen #interprofilesharing
