@mboelen @Morpurgo Het nadeel van Proton of Tuta vind ik dat je mail niet meer via imap of pop3 uit te lezen is. Mijn favoriet client op mijn telefoon (#FairMail) gebruikt dat. En je kunt lastig je mails overzetten als je besluit naar een andere provider wilt gaan. Ik vind #RoundCube een fijne web interface hebben, maar dat moet je provider of iemand anders dat wel voor je willen hosten (als je dat niet zelf wilt doen)

I accidentally hit the AI button in Gmail. I hadn't seen it before, maybe it's new? (Why would i want my email app to make shit up for me‽)

So i don't have the Gmail app anymore, hopefully i will like my new mail app better

Hey,
ich kann nur von meiner Erfahrung mit dem #fairphone 5 berichten. Hab dort #eOS selbst installiert.
Es läuft soweit. Und nach dem Bericht von @kuketzblog auch OK soweit was #Datenschutz angeht.
Ich nutze die Kamera von FP. Finde ich besser als z.B. opencamera.
Sync läuft mit @ente (Fotos), #Nextcloud (Dateien) und #Posteo (Kalender und Kontakte).
Sonst halt @mollyim (Signal), @threemaapp #Fairmail #KeepassXC #NewPipe ... usw.
Banking läuft bei mir ohne Probleme.

Wenn man dann einem #Mailkonto endlich auch mal nicht nur mehrere #Mailadressen, sondern auch mehrere #OpenPGP #Zertifikate zuordnen könnte...

Also bleibe ich weiter bei #Fairmail.

Jednak zrezygnowałem z #FairMail ma rzecz #Thunderbird for #Android. FairMail miał zbyt toporny i nieatrakcyjny interfejs. Jednak za dużo opcji konfiguracji to też minus. Thunderbird a raczej K9 jest OK, ale mam z nim jeden problem - nie zapamiętuje folderu do archiwizowania poczty, próbowałem już wszystkiego i za każdym razem po restarcie aplikacji muszę to konfigurować od nowa. Czy ktoś ma jakiś pomysł?

FairMail, the email app I use on my Android, makes it hard to check the true originating addresses of emails, and the URLs that included links are pointing to. At least using default settings. The problem is, if we can't see these things at a glance, we're much more likely to fall for phishing scams.

I don't mean to pick on FairMail, this is pretty standard email UX these days. Which is probably at least one reason why email is such a common vectors for scams.

Für alle, die auch suchen: #FairMail direkt von GitHub scheint zu funktionieren.
Beim Einrichten des Postfachs aber nicht das erste "Outlook(OAuth)" nutzen, sonder das, bei dem auch Hotmail dabei steht. (Obwohl ich business accounts hinzufügen will).
Auch etwas ungewöhnlich: nach dem einrichten oben links auf die 3 Striche klicken und "Einstellungen schließen" tippen um zu den Postfächern zu kommen.

#Posteo add app passwords. Now it is possible to set #Thunderbird, #FairMail or any other nice desktop/mobile email client with an app password, and at the same time keep your password protected with two factor authentication to get into the webmail and the configuration of the account.

It was the only thing i was missing. I am quite happy at having opened a Posteo mail account. I am a bit stressed these days, but at some point I will describe it a bit more.

@amerey I use the combination of FairMail on Android and Thunderbird on Desktop.
With DavX5 on Android, I am Syncing against my Nextcloud. So both connect to this and everything is save and synced. #Thunderbird #Fairmail #DavX5

While browsing through the settings of #Fairmail, I found the OpenAI-integration. And as #ollama implements the API of OpenAI, I built ollama in #termux and pulled the model tinyllama.

Now my phone can summarize e-mails for me locally. This is totally cool. And useless in the real world :-)

finalmente pude encontrar un cliente de correo multi-cuentas para android que ande bien, para sustituir a k9 mail que anda bien un tiempo y luego no baja correo de las cuentas, se llama fair mail, veremos #mail #correo #k9mail #fairmail #fdroid #android
