I use #Molly and it works perfectly for me. I've been able to link several devices when it was impossible with #Signal .
The only thing is that I think there are not updates as often as for Signal. -

@mollyim I am trying #Droidify as an #fdroid replacement. They have several external repos built in, which i can use as needed. When i add the #molly repo, netguard shows me that a connection to curbengh.github.io is made when i refresh the molly repo. This is not the case for fdroid, it shows molly.im there. Is this intentional or should I worry

Nachdem mir fehlerhafte Molly-Backups Ende April alle Signal-Chats zerschossen hatten, war ich erst mal zurück bei der offiziellen Signal-App. Aus Frust, aber auch, weil "original" erst mal sicherer klingt. Auch wenn das nicht unbedingt so ist ... 🤷♂️
Seit heute bin ich aber wieder bei Molly. Endlich wieder Push mit ntfy statt FCM (ja, auch mit microG bleibt es Googles Infrastruktur) oder einer dauerhaft offenen WebSocket-Verbindung, die den Akku dahinschmelzen lässt 🔋
Ausserdem bin ich seit gestern auch auf Matrix (tchncs.de) mit FluffyChat. Gefällt mir bisher richtig gut. Jetzt müssten nur noch mehr bzw. überhaupt Leute aus meinem Umfeld dort sein 😄
Dafür hat sich über Matrix schon ein toller neuer Kontakt ergeben 🤗
Der Weg zu mehr digitaler Unabhängigkeit bleibt spannend ✌️

Das tut mir leid zu hören.Bei mir geht halt zum Einen die Verbindung zum WLAN nicht mehr. Bei einem Verbindungsversuch springt es zwischen 5 GHz und 2,4 GHz hin und her. Zudem hat sich die Verschlüsselung zu WPA/WPA2 geändert. Das ohne meinen Eingriff über Nacht.
Das sich nun keine neuen Apps installieren lassen nervt nur. Gemeinsam mit den Problemen der Benachrichtigungen wird mir die Einschränkung einfach zu groß.
KDE mit meinem Linux kann ich nun auch nicht mehr nutzen, nur weil mein #FP5 über Nacht mein WLAN nicht mehr will.Aber eigentlich will ich nicht all die #Tracker der #Bahn #TooGoodToGo und all der anderen Apps freien Lauf lassen. Das Nervt so richtig... nicht mehr Herr meiner Daten zu sein.
