    Finding a Good Monospace Font For Prose

    Unlike Ben Tsai, I have never been an engineer. But like Ben Tsai, I "appreciate the feel of a monospaced font, [and] want something that is optimized for prose." In my case, I write drafts (and law stuff for my day job) in KDE's Ghostwriter and prefer monospace fonts while writing in markdown.     J'ai souvent hésité à utiliser l'e dans l'o, pas parce ce que c'est difficile à taper (un simple AltGr + o suffit sous #linux) mais parce que les polices de caractères #monospace utilisées jusqu'à présent le rendaient assez mal.

    Si je garde le monospace pour le #development, je suis passé à la police #Adwaita sans-serif de #Gnome pour la rédaction de texte. Elle a des ligatures très lisibles et agréable à utiliser !

    JetBrains vs custom font issue

    I usally use a retro font called "MxPlusIBMVGA9x16". Childhood nostalgy. I can use it anywhere but in JetBrains terminals. It is not listed as monospace font in the reworked terminal's menu. It is listed as monospace editor font though. 🤷

    I dissected the font with FontForge and with Python's fonttools lib too. Panose table, isFixedPitch are in order. What should I look for to fix?
