I might just have spent as much time on this specimen page than on the font itself but it's finally out in the world: Peritel, a nostalgia-fuelled retro typeface. I'll do a follow-up post on my blog at some point, soon-ish.

Trying to design my own font after giving up a couple of times over the course of years. Drawing letters with #Inkscape and importing svg files to #fontforge is working for me. Getting results after spending the whole week. I got the uppercases covered and like the flattened, sturdy impression but still doubting how they will look when put together. Anyway, svg templates provide me a point where I can start over. Cannot absorb everything there is in #typography and #fontdesign at once. #DIY
