  1. My favorite monospace font: #Iosevka (my default everywhere I can override fonts).

    typeof.net/Iosevka/

Narrower than other monospace fonts => more fits on a screen while still highly legible.

Highly customizable to look like your other favorite fonts.

  2. My wife doesn't know this, but all I need to be satisfied is a good keyboard with an awkward layout, a speedy terminal emulator, a sexy font / color scheme and key bindings for everything.

  3. I regret to report that I'm back to customizing my fonts. This one's an opinionated derivation of Iosevka's take on IBM Plex. And it has its own site.

  4. Comparing font file sizes.

Inter: variable weight (100–900), 350 kB

    Iosevka: 1.3 MB _per_ weight

Does Iosevka really have that many additional glyphs, or where else does the difference in size come from?

  5. I've tried out Iosevka Mono in the past, but wasn't aware of all the diferent kinds of variations and customization options it offers!

    It looks great!

    typeof.net/Iosevka/

  6. @vkc
Futura and Iosevka - Thank you so much for sharing the names of the typeface! I will definitely check #Iosevka out

  7. The full version of the Iosevka Term font is 451 MB. That's almost an entire CD. 💿
Imagine, an entire CD full of one font.
    With variants, but still.

  8. Also, if your website is using #Iosevka as its main font, we are basically soulmates already.

  9. @mjaschen Team #iosevka hier, muss ich doch auch gleich mal guggen.

  10. the only reason i use over other terminals is because it respects . There maybe no but I don't really need them.

  12. @profoundlynerdy I like #Iosevka, and it seems to have a pretty good character coverage. Maybe check it out for yourself:

    typeof.net/Iosevka/

  13. Bumped the version to 26.1.0. Also its now possible to install both fixed and term variants at the same time.
    #Iosevka

  14. Recently came across the #Iosevka #font which has been really nice as I switch from VS Code to #nvim. It's relatively narrow allowing more text to fit on the screen.

  16. Why does look so good on my eyes. I've run for quite some time with and decided to check some other fonts like Fantasque, Mononoki, CaskaydiaCove, MesloGS and Firecode. But most of them can't compete with the above two in my eyes.

  17. I've been using #Iosevka #font, which I saw from @eser , since a couple of weeks

    typeof.net/Iosevka/
    github.com/be5invis/Iosevka

I'm using as monospace, light, extended width (Iosevka Light Extended) , which looks great if you'd ask me.

    > Iosevka is an open-source, sans-serif + slab-serif, monospace + quasi‑proportional typeface family, designed for writing code, using in terminals, and preparing technical documents.

  18. Today I was thinking “how awesome would it be to use #Iosevka (typeof.net/Iosevka/) in a plain-text #Linux #console“. Soooo … I’ve opened a feature request :) github.com/be5invis/Iosevka/is

I’ll most likely have to implement this myself, but let’s see what the maintainer’s reaction will be.
