    I've dug into many mass (and not-so-mass) shooting reports in the past couple of decades--I haven't been structured or systematic about it, just looked at many of the things I've seen in the news--and in almost every single case there is evidence that the shooter was motivated, partially or completely, by deep anger at a woman or girl, at many women or girls, or at all women or girls. This information is frequently buried deep in mainstream media reports or not reported at all except in smaller or alternative presses.

    It's been a while since I looked, but I also haven't found any systematic review of this pattern. I have a few copies of FBI UCR and hate crime data that I've run through the ol' RStudio and that info is not available in the datasets I have.

    If you know of a data source that might have systematic, relatively consistent reports of any misogynist motivations or statements by killers or attempted mass or school-shooter or workplace-shooter type killers, let me know. Or of any studies synthesizing the information, like what percentage of such assailants have these motivations.

    Maybe it's right in front of me and I don't have the right search terms.
