  1. Pretty sure that’s the only time I’ve ever seen a trampolinist accompany a song at a show.

(Patrick Watson, #montreal #JazzFest last night.)

  2. Quebec's Angine de Poitrine fills jazz fest site to capacity for free outdoor blowout

"Speaking of which, it was a home run for the jazz fest: presenting a Quebec band at the height of its hype on the main stage and drawing the biggest crowd in years for a show that will go down in history as the night festival-goers were abducted by aliens."

  3. Happy #JazzFest to ME because I got to see my favorite Cajun band, Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys! 🪗🎻⚜️🐊

  4. Today's Corey Henry and the Treme Funktet set with three lead guitar solos on Purple Haze, big Chief Fi Yi Yi, dancers, and his daughters doing flips was a #JazzFest hootenanny.

  5. Kaya Jonkunnu Band at #jazzfest. Performing in the children's tent, perhaps scarring some of them for life.

  6. JazzFest Gronau! This year with HOT Het Orgel Trio (The Organ Trio).
Great concert on a real Church organ.

  7. Jazzfest postscript: BC Coogan at the Saturn Bar. A weekly solo piano gig for several years. Coogan played songs by Allen Toussaint, Smiley Lewis, Earl King, George Duke, Willie Nelson, Thelonious Monk and Beethoven, weaving it all together seamlessly. This gig is something special. Every time I catch it I feel like I'm in on one of New Orleans' best kept secrets. A great way to spend my last night in town!

  8. It's only the halfway point, but I think David Byrne is having the most fun at the Jazz Fest so far.

  9. Yesterday's #Jazzfest photoset: Jon Batiste was a standout with his Swamp song: "They're burning the planet down - it's the chemicals!" David Byrne was wonderful as always, Big Chief, Rod Stewart - fanciness abounded.

  10. And that's a wrap! Sadly, the sun has set on my 2026 Jazzfest. The festival continues to be a source of great joy for audience and performers alike. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's photos and videos from next weekend!

  13. Jazzfest day 4 highlights, part 1: tribute to Marcia Ball with the Marcia Ball Band, Sue Foley, Carolyn Wonderland, John Cleary, Terrance Simien and more.

Longtime Jazzfest favorite Marcia Ball, recently diagnosed with ALS, was hanging out on stage throughout this emotional and moving tribute set. Ms. Ball surprised everyone when she sat down at the piano to play a song, with tears flowing and raucous applause everywhere in the Blues Tent.

  24. A former NC law enforcement officer was arrested with a handgun & 200+ rounds of ammo at a Florida hotel — allegedly headed to commit a racially motivated mass shooting at a major Louisiana festival. Christopher Gillum, who is white, had allegedly expressed explicit threats to harm Black people. His own family reported him missing and tipped off police. Jazz Fest draws 460,000+ attendees. A tragedy was potentially averted — but the threat exposes an urgent and ongoing crisis of racially motivated violence in America. Stay informed.
