@sleepyfox @iris_meredith the 'joke' I was attempting to make is that pure #Lisps, written as S expressions, do indeed have no syntax at all. Modern Lisps, such as #CommonLisp and #Clojure, do have *some* syntax, but compared to any Algol-family language (such as C and Python) it's minimal.
It's the lack of syntax, not the presence of syntax, that Algol-family programmers find conceptually hard.

Inaccuracy of rational numbers is not inevitable at all - modern #Lisps (since about 1981) can handle perfectly accurate rationals up to extremely large, and down to extremely small sizes. Of course, their are infinitely many more irrationals than rationals, and irrationals cannot be perfectly represented. But they can be represented far more perfectly than can be managed in 64 bits.

a random kid (or not already..) solving the puzzle of life through swamp of his own ignorance since the darkest years right before the turn of the millennium.
decided to be an astronomer at the age of 8, have kept on being an almost useless member of society ever since, not that I really regret it, but it happens sometimes.
enlightened libre software appreciator since 2003 (?) (not sure, but thanks dad anyway), sometimes pretend to be a geek in somewhat script-kiddish way, i.e. not really know what's going on in depth, just messing around with these fancy toys until they break.
introvered: my social coprocessor can handle no more than 3-4 realtime simultaneous connections without collapsing into read-only mode and usually consumes a ton of brainpower when the context is missing; don't take it personally ^)
generally prefer reason over feelings, but more or less aware of the limits of my own mind. value the freedom of communication a lot and try to keep channels open to the limits of my safety and sanity, but that's another rant.
I do have a few alts (twigs?) here and there: either to change the fedibubble (many thanks fediblockers!), try another engine or shitpost unabashedly. So, if you spot any other suspiciously coniferous actor, the chances are pretty high that it's me <obi-wan-kenobi-meme>, unless it is explicitly stated otherwise.
.. and that probably reflects my real life situation a bit, too: which place should I call home? ..

People keep getting worried about 'scope' of things. I was introduced to #lisps by Paul Graham's writings. Till date he doesn't even mention #clojure which has the power to leverage the #JVM and #Javascript ecosystem.
I think I will host a session clojure at #FSHM soon.
