Perfection: blue sky, blue water not a ripple on the lake. No boats, in places there was barely enough water under the keel for my kayak.
Saw four Loons, 2 Cormorants, and a Kingfisher.
I probably overdid it though, 15 km through four lakes, up the river. Tired out.

Enjoying a home baked zucchini muffin and cranberry juice after my morning paddle. Lake Simcoe was not angry today - temp was 18°C with 11 km/h winds. A short 45 minute relaxing workout.

Kayaking today since it was a bit cooler, and the sky a bit bluer than in the last month or so. The return trip still was muggy. It was beautiful to be out on the lake for a good workout, 11 km in 2 hours.
And an hour of uploading, downloading, then uploading again, downloading again. Properly exhausted. -

You like #kayaking. You look for a group about Kayaking on Fastfrwrd and don't find one so you start one, with a twist: #Kayak and Clean Up. If people post pictures of how many grams or kilos of trash they picked up while kayaking, weighing the trash at home on their bathroom scale if they have one, and getting Dews or eco points for it and climbing the group leaderboard to see who gets the most trash.

I am more than happier to have a new kayak! This lovely one is hard plastic, not inflatable any more!
I am lucky to be offered a place on the sea shore!The new one actually has the similar size of the X500 one. So its only 3.6m length won't make me much faster (max 4.5 knots), while it is easier to get to 4.0 kn than the inflatable (which gives avg. 3.3kn).
But it is good anyway, as its hard hull resists much of the swells/waves/wind.

Reminder; if you are into the spending time in the #outdoors (#hiking, #backpacking, #trailrunning, #camping, #kayaking, #rockclimbing, you name it), it's even more important for you to have medical training and carry the right equipment than it is for the average person. Take a class, buy (or, better, build) a #firstaid kit, and carry it. Weight is a number; don't let being #ultralight stop you from carrying the right stuff for each trip. The farther out you go, the more you should take.
