On June 6th, 1944, the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division and the 2nd Armoured Brigade were tasked with establishing a bridgehead at Juno Beach. This was an 8 km stretch of beach between Sword and Gold landing beaches.

As we mark this historic day, we pay tribute to the brave heroes who gave their lives so we could live free.
