Steven Guilbeault is going to resign.

I'm reminded of Avi Lewis' assessment of Doly Begum's cross to the Liberals. He stated that an individual hoping to make changes within, rather than being part of a movement that strives for change, is doomed to failure.
Individuals, no matter how well meaning, cannot effectively bring about change within an establishment such as the Liberal Party of Canada. Change has to come from being part of a movement for the environment and social democracy, which is the NDP, organized labour, and the environmental movements.
