@serge The Opposition should follow the line I suggest in my third post, supporting the decision by the PM to break off negotiations, but criticising the steps he proposes to take now. It would work for the #CPC and the #NDP.

They could even argue that part of the reason for the bad deal this week was because #MarkCarney made too many concessions over the past year.

The 2025 #CPC campaign was mostly about high cost-of-living and the housing crisis, not about outrage. It's a mistake to confuse the posts that the X algorithm gives notoriety and what actually motivates party members and voters.

@dyckron Well, there is an obvious challenger from the #CPC, it's just that there's no one who would be a more effective challenger, according to the polls. Canadians will eventually realise that the PM doesn't walk on water, then the polls will change.
