What’s a photo that makes you sad or angry?
The photo below makes me both sad and angry. I saw it a long time at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. (Which is now the Minneapolis Institute of Art [no more ‘s’] or MIA) (And MIA, because who wants to think of soldiers missing in action when looking at art, was later changed to Mia) (Which we have to pronounce as MEE-uh) (But which I tend to pronounce as MY-uh) (I don’t think I would have voted for the name change if I’d been on the Board but who cares about that?)

So this picture below, it made me both sad and angry. It still does.
The family’s story is not a happy one. The only crime in America is being poor. The Damm family is proof of that.
