"New York Minute" is a song written by #DonHenley, #DannyKortchmar, and Jai Winding. Henley originally recorded it for his third solo studio album #TheEndOfTheInnocence (1989). The track features #PinoPalladino on #fretlessBass, #Toto members #DavidPaich, who played piano and wrote the string arrangement, and #JeffPorcaro on drums. It also features #Take6 on background vocals.

Today's #Eurovision song is from #Yugoslavia #1973; ‘Gori vatra’ by #ZdravkoČolić.
It’s taken a while, but I’ve finally worked out what track the opening of ’Gori Vatra’ reminds me of… #DonHenley’s ’#BoysOfSummer’. My brain makes weird connections sometimes, and this is one of them.
I also wonder how the composers made the connection between a 70s infused bit of #funk and meld it so well with the #orchestra. That’s how to make a Eurovision song work in this era.
