Lying in bed ill and feeling a bit sorry for myself, but I’ve been enjoying the 9-part audio drama Fabric by Miles Gibson.

It has a very strong #LiminalHorror or #DeltaGreen vibe. Here’s the description:

“After the death of her parents, Leyna Canary discovers a cache of strange audio tapes hidden in their attic, each labeled with an unfamiliar name — Lucas Canary.

As she unravels their origins, Leyna is pulled into a shadowy world of malevolent supernatural forces and the black-book task force keeping them at bay, leading her across rural New South Wales, Australia — and into the heart of something far more dangerous than she could ever imagine.”

The Coffin of Iver's Green, an Obscurum, was unearthed in the quaint hamlet of Suttercraft. This town harbors countless black coffins beneath its earth, yet the Coffin of Iver's Green is the most largest to rest in its accursed ground. Utilizing ultrasonic technology, scholars have fetermined that the Coffin's dimensions span the entire breadth and length of Suttercraft. The contents of the Coffin, though, remain unknown. However, many citizens claim to have horrible dreams of the thing in the colossal casket, causing them unparalleled dread.

The Angel of Gold and Greed is a member of the Noctrait and has manifested in diverse locales worldwide. This angel typically emerges above corporations and wealthy neighborhoods, particularly where corruption and excessive greed are rampant. Reports also indicate sightings alongside influential magnates—corporate CEOs, tycoons, and software entrepreneurs. Adorned in gold, the angel is said to display wings crafted from dollar bills.

The last few years, my wife and I have done something every day for the month of October-- art challenges, projects, etc (the same way some people do 'Inktober').

I recently posted some of the Simpsons art we did every day in October *this* year.

Last year, we did a podcast called Podcast of Horror and recorded an episode every day in October, talking about Simpsons Halloween episodes. We managed to cover EVERY Simpsons Halloween thing released up to last year -- even specials like Halloween of Horror and Thanksgiving of Horror. The other day, we just made one more new episode to cover the new Treehouse of Horror XXXIV from this year (and we'll continue to do it every year as long as there's new ones!)

The new Podcast of Horror episode is here (along with all 31 other episodes from last year below it): https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/podcast-of-horror/episodes/Podcast-of-Horror-32-e2c1vlk

I guess this all started because I've had a cartoon blog (https://animatedtvblog.wordpress.com) forever, and the podcast is based on that. I still write about cartoons and watch them a lot. We might talk about more cartoons eventually on a podcast of some kind.

I was also planning some future stuff on Twitch - doing full vintage episode streams like https://twitch.tv/dailysimpsons does once a week.

Maybe eventually.

The Embryonic Ocean, a progeny of the Endless Sea, is a vast emerald expanse on an alien planet, teeming with storms and fearsome creatures. Those who drown in its deep green depths are reborn in massive embryonic sacs at the ocean's floor, their souls transforming into something twisted and monstrous.

The Necroloupe is a legendary tree believed to grow near graves and cemeteries. Often referred to as the "Grief Tree," it's thought that its roots draw sustenance from nearby corpses, and its fruit is said to hold the hidden wisdom of the deceased. Esoteries such as "the Necroloupe (named after the tree)," hold this tree in high regard, seeing it as a symbol of knowledge transcending death. Some claim to have tasted its fruit, absorbing insights from the world beyond.

The "Drowned House" legend has circulated in various parts of the world. As the myth goes, a vast, run-down house sporadically emerges from the ocean's depths, floating on the water like drifting flotsam. It eventually washes up on a shoreline, radiating a brilliant green hue while emanating the haunting sounds of a fierce , but melodic, storm from its openings. Some say they've witnessed individuals enter, never to emerge again. In time, the tide reclaims the house, either dragging it to the ocean floor or allowing it to wander endlessly across the tempestuous sea.

The Esoterium is a significant organization, constituted of smaller, loosely connected clandestine entities. These diverse occult groups elected to unite to curb the influence and devastation wrought by the various Walks of Darkness and their affiliated malevolent organizations. However, the distinct cabals that form the Esoterium, while sharing common objectives, are predominantly autonomous. Each is governed by its own Esotarch (the head of a given esotary) and harbors its own secretive agendas. Consequently, the Esoterium might appeaudioar as a stable consolidation of like-minded factions, but in actuality, these alliances are frequently fragile, with each cabal pursuing their individual objectives. Despite this, the Esoterium has proven efficient in halting the spread of dark forces influencing the world. Some of the groups in the Esoterium include 9th House, the Consortium of Doors, the Keepers of a Thousand Secrets, the Sinastradi, and many others.

Near the borders of the town of Willard is a strange obscuruum called the "Grey Crowd." In the nearby forest are hundreds of limestone statues. These grey figures resemble twisted humans marching aimlessly through the stygian woods. When the site was first discovered, they were dressed in human skins. However, out of respect, the skins were removed to respect the dead whose flesh had been made into apparel. However, on the anniversary of the Great Darkness, people come to dress them in animal skins to pay homage to the monument. As a result, many protesters fought to have the statues demolished; however, the skins of those most vocal about destroying the monuments were found later dressing the grey crowd. After that, detractors abandoned all talk of eliminating the statues.

The city of Unduur is a mythical city said to exist far beneath the metropolis of Nighthead.  It is rumored to be home to those who existed in the "First Darkness"- the darkness that preceeded the creation of light. Various esoteric circles believe its denizens are followers of the Unbegotten of Darkness - Sathonis - the night god. According to legend, the city exists in the First Darkness, a preternatural night beyond human comprehension.
