Hello. Please tell me about your favourite fiction podcasts! I don't care how old they are: good fiction is good fiction.
A lot of the podcasts I've already listened to seem to be horror-based (or at least horror adjacent), and I'd really like to find some that are more based around positive emotions instead of playing on fear/anxiety so much like all the horror stuff does. I have no interest in True Crime but I do enjoy a good whodunnit, because I like unravelling a mystery. I also like hearing about people trying to build healthy relationships, or at least trying to fix bad ones.
Also, lots of non-Western countries speak English as their first language (South Asia, lots of Africa, most of the Caribbean, parts of the Pacific), so it would be great to find some English-language fiction podcasts that move beyond Britain and USA/Canada, if they exist. Even better if they happen to be specifically about local culture/customs.
I'll post a list of podcasts I've already listened to in reply to this. (I recommend them all, they're all good)

I do not make #AudioFiction. Instead, I’m an avid consumer and unrepentant enabler of those who do make #FictionPodcasts.
Because of that, I’ve been asked to lend my voice to a few projects from time to time. Like this piece from 2007, of which I was reminded by producer @rick_stringer: http://www.variantfrequencies.com/2006/07/04/the-last-frequency/
I’ve just had a re-listen. That was fun!

"Tortuaries" are the machines by which Scream Eaters distill pain. These are nether-mechanical devices that can be the size of a large dresser to the size of a building. The Scream Eaters put their victims inside the machine to suffer unspeakable pain. To keep their victims alive longer, the Tortuaries often administer the "Limbo Elixer," which stops the soul from leaving the body. This way, the Scream Eaters can prolong their victim's anguish and feed longer. The Bolgia of Screams - the home of the Scream Eaters - is said to possess Tortuaries the size of cities.

According to legend, the "Nowhere Motel" is a motel that only appears to the lost. Host to wandering vagabonds, runaways, and those who have gone astray, the motel possesses otherworldly qualities. Some have reported spending the night there only to find out later that several years have passed. Others claim to have dreamed entire alternative lives in their beds, only to wake up and realize only a few hours have passed. A few have claimed to come out as completely different people, their previous selves trapped in the motel as innkeepers, bellhops, and maids. Many believe this legend is a cautionary tale for those traveling aimlessly in the post-noctum world. Others swear to the myth's validity, citing eyewitness accounts of a strange motel in the middle of nowhere.

The Bolgia of Fruiting Dead is thought to be the home of the Bae'ule. It is a realm of fetid corpses, rot-feasting creatures, and giant saprophytes that span miles in length. Here, the Bae'ule stockpile the fruiting dead and devour their flesh. Little else is known about the Bolgia or the origins of the Bae'ule, however. Their god, Sasuggtha, is thought to feast upon one of the fallen Bornless - dead walking its corpse across the cosmos. Whether Sasuggtha resides in the Bolgia of Fruiting dead or is elsewhere in the universe is unknown.

Mr. Snaps is a tiny entity thought to be associated with the strange puppet deity situated in the Kinderman Woods. He is a small puppet that sometimes appears to people during the night, telling them about a "magical city" on strings or coercing them to follow him into the Kinderman Woods. He's also been known to tell people terrible secrets and to be the orchestrator of diabolical schemes. Some dark scholars believe he is an avatar of the puppet God- the Unbegotten of Manipulation.

The Dim is a somewhat recent post-noctum phenomenon that is poorly understood. It is thought to be a wandering manifestation of humankind's progressive insanity. It materializes as a storm of warped reality, where the laws of physics and rational thought are violated in the most disturbing ways. It is often accompanied by thousands of insanity-inflicted faces appearing in the sky, disembodied voices, and gross contortions of local physical reality. Those caught in the Dim are driven mad or physically annihilated. Some have reported that the Dim is attracted to the various psychotypes now inhabiting the world- exopaths, hypnopaths, neopaths, white wigs, etc. However, nobody knows how or why the Dim manifested, only that it seems to grow larger and more powerful as time progresses.

Another one of my favorite audio dramas is @vfdarkness. I like to play around with midjourney, so I made some pics of the Traveling Salesman, victims of the Jack-o-lantern killer, and a scene from one of the episodes where a town agrees to work in their sleep.

Strange structures made from bones and enlarged skulls were discovered after the Great Darkness of 1999. However, while the outsides of the building were bizarre, their interiors were equally so. There could be hundreds of bottles full of human fluids - blood, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid - all on display as if they were served in the same fashion as fine wines or liquors. For this reason, the obscuruum came to be known as "Corpse Taverns." Of course, like most obscuruum, the purpose of these "establishments" are unknown, although the implications are grisly.

Batna is the Matriarch of the Carnivean. She is the daughter of Carnivean himself - the first of his kind. After her father's death, she swore vengeance upon her creator and the Maelenjiin itself. She has chased her quarry - the Nasool - across the cosmos, devouring worlds as she goes. Her appearance greatly varies - she can be hundreds of feet tall brimming with devouring mouths, teeth, claws, and a host of other appendages, or she can appear as a ghastly demonic woman. Like all carnivean, she is host to the everlasting hunger, and has devoured and resurged thousands of creatures, both terrestrial and alien. She even weilds the mythical Grey Flame - a legendary fire thought to possess an endless appetite, devouring everything it touches.

Those that live in the dark city of Unduur - in the first Darkness - are thought to be unable to survive in the light or even traditional darkness. As such, they must wear large mechanical suits that feed them ancient darkness in order to survive on the surface.

Artists, by nature, tend to be aloof and elusive creatures, but none embody this stereotype more than the artist known as Denzelgremmel. Never having made a public appearance, little is known about the painter except for their proclivity for capturing mankind's darkest moments. Their art is often said to be unparalleled, a mixture of hyper-realism and grim Tenebrism. The elusive artist is most known for the works they supposedly completed during the Great Darkness, each piece dated sometime during the notorious year of 1999. However, you wont find their works in a gallery (except perhaps in Phillip Tilinghast's "Night Gallery"), as his art has only been found in the darkest of places - abandoned wasting houses, caves, dark attics, etc. Wherever they are discovered, it is hoped that they’ll shed more light on the world’s most famous Post Noctum artist.

Grey Mathers, a name that strikes fear in the hearts of every Greywitcher, is thought to be the "mayor" of Devil's Clay. He is sometimes seen driving the lone road to Devil's Clay in his antique black packard. Many stories abound about the man, but little is actually known about him. Some have seen him toting strange objects and items to his home, while others have claimed to have had strange conversations with him in their dreams. A certain point of contention concerns his age. Greywitchers wonder if the the Grey Mathers of today is the same Grey Mathers who rose that demonic town from the ground so many years ago, or if he is simply an ancestor bearing the same name. Like everything else about the man, the answer remains unclear.

The city of Unduur is a mythical city said to exist far beneath the metropolis of Nighthead. It is rumored to be home to those who existed in the "First Darkness"- the darkness that preceeded the creation of light. Various esoteric circles believe its denizens are followers of the Unbegotten of Darkness - Sathonis - the night god. According to legend, the city exists in the First Darkness, a preternatural night beyond human comprehension.

A large gothic and black skyscraper - known as the Nightscraper - began to spurratically appear in various cities shortly after the Darkness of 1999. When it does manifest, it is often only seen by certain people and via alternative methods, such as being viewed through a reflection or a camera lens. However, any attempts to get near the elusive thing is thwarted by the building appearing ever further away. It has been reported in almost every major city in the world, sometimes staying for a week or so before disappearing. No one has been able to ascertain the building's nature or intent.

The White Gaia is a deity that has appeared to both the Family Man killer and Isaiah Stroud. She usually appears as a giant corpulent rotting woman in a grove of pale trees. While her intentions remain nebulous, she seems to detest things that violate the cold physics of the world, ever wishing to sustain the banality of things.

The "Pandora Room" appears in random places. Often in the form of a black door, what lies beyond it is always different, but what comes out is inevitably outre and terrible. Some even speculate it is the cause of the Great Darkness - the door left wide for too long, unknown horrors flooding the world.
