I refrain from talking shit about #FictionPodcasts that I don’t personally enjoy, preferring to uplift those I do.
But imma make an exception for the boring, half-assed efforts on ST: Kahn. Sure, some performances were great, but mothetfuckers! You *can* pay for top talent at every stage. Why you chose not to is beyond me.
Maybe I shouldn’t have had that 2nd Manhattan.

Hello. Please tell me about your favourite fiction podcasts! I don't care how old they are: good fiction is good fiction.
A lot of the podcasts I've already listened to seem to be horror-based (or at least horror adjacent), and I'd really like to find some that are more based around positive emotions instead of playing on fear/anxiety so much like all the horror stuff does. I have no interest in True Crime but I do enjoy a good whodunnit, because I like unravelling a mystery. I also like hearing about people trying to build healthy relationships, or at least trying to fix bad ones.
Also, lots of non-Western countries speak English as their first language (South Asia, lots of Africa, most of the Caribbean, parts of the Pacific), so it would be great to find some English-language fiction podcasts that move beyond Britain and USA/Canada, if they exist. Even better if they happen to be specifically about local culture/customs.
I'll post a list of podcasts I've already listened to in reply to this. (I recommend them all, they're all good)

According to legend, the "Nowhere Motel" is a motel that only appears to the lost. Host to wandering vagabonds, runaways, and those who have gone astray, the motel possesses otherworldly qualities. Some have reported spending the night there only to find out later that several years have passed. Others claim to have dreamed entire alternative lives in their beds, only to wake up and realize only a few hours have passed. A few have claimed to come out as completely different people, their previous selves trapped in the motel as innkeepers, bellhops, and maids. Many believe this legend is a cautionary tale for those traveling aimlessly in the post-noctum world. Others swear to the myth's validity, citing eyewitness accounts of a strange motel in the middle of nowhere.

The Bolgia of Fruiting Dead is thought to be the home of the Bae'ule. It is a realm of fetid corpses, rot-feasting creatures, and giant saprophytes that span miles in length. Here, the Bae'ule stockpile the fruiting dead and devour their flesh. Little else is known about the Bolgia or the origins of the Bae'ule, however. Their god, Sasuggtha, is thought to feast upon one of the fallen Bornless - dead walking its corpse across the cosmos. Whether Sasuggtha resides in the Bolgia of Fruiting dead or is elsewhere in the universe is unknown.

The Dim is a somewhat recent post-noctum phenomenon that is poorly understood. It is thought to be a wandering manifestation of humankind's progressive insanity. It materializes as a storm of warped reality, where the laws of physics and rational thought are violated in the most disturbing ways. It is often accompanied by thousands of insanity-inflicted faces appearing in the sky, disembodied voices, and gross contortions of local physical reality. Those caught in the Dim are driven mad or physically annihilated. Some have reported that the Dim is attracted to the various psychotypes now inhabiting the world- exopaths, hypnopaths, neopaths, white wigs, etc. However, nobody knows how or why the Dim manifested, only that it seems to grow larger and more powerful as time progresses.

Strange structures made from bones and enlarged skulls were discovered after the Great Darkness of 1999. However, while the outsides of the building were bizarre, their interiors were equally so. There could be hundreds of bottles full of human fluids - blood, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid - all on display as if they were served in the same fashion as fine wines or liquors. For this reason, the obscuruum came to be known as "Corpse Taverns." Of course, like most obscuruum, the purpose of these "establishments" are unknown, although the implications are grisly.

Batna is the Matriarch of the Carnivean. She is the daughter of Carnivean himself - the first of his kind. After her father's death, she swore vengeance upon her creator and the Maelenjiin itself. She has chased her quarry - the Nasool - across the cosmos, devouring worlds as she goes. Her appearance greatly varies - she can be hundreds of feet tall brimming with devouring mouths, teeth, claws, and a host of other appendages, or she can appear as a ghastly demonic woman. Like all carnivean, she is host to the everlasting hunger, and has devoured and resurged thousands of creatures, both terrestrial and alien. She even weilds the mythical Grey Flame - a legendary fire thought to possess an endless appetite, devouring everything it touches.

The city of Unduur is a mythical city said to exist far beneath the metropolis of Nighthead. It is rumored to be home to those who existed in the "First Darkness"- the darkness that preceeded the creation of light. Various esoteric circles believe its denizens are followers of the Unbegotten of Darkness - Sathonis - the night god. According to legend, the city exists in the First Darkness, a preternatural night beyond human comprehension.
