hmm I think #Pocketcast is a bit better as a #Podcast client than #AudioBookshelf.
The queue, skip silence, auto downloading episodes in the queue and chapters make a better feeling.
trying Audiobooks next (don't ask why I set up AudioBookshelf but test Podcast support first ... I think I was just surprised that it supports podcasts, too)

#Audiobookshelf is now up and runngin including all my #Podcasts (which I added one by one - and in the end noticed that I could have ex-imported all at once via OPML ... 🙈)
Let's see if I also want to use it as podcast player instead of #pocketcast

Irre ich mich oder war es nicht irgendwann mal möglich einen Podcastverlauf zu exportieren und in in eine andere Podcast-App zu importieren? 🤔 War der Meinung das hat früher mal geklappt. Aktuell finde ich für den Wechsel von der iOS Podcast-App z.B. zur Android /e/OS Pocket Cast, keine Lösung. #PodcastApp #PocketCast #iOS #Android #eOS #Murena

Ich habe hier noch einen Screenshot, wo man sieht, dass #Pocketcast die Länge der Episoden mit unter 1 Minute angibt. -

@alisynthesis I like the idea, but it's annoying that it doesn't have a web interface to organise things, I hate doing it on the fiddly little phone screen - And sometimes I want to listen to things at my desktop. I am stuck with Pocket Casts and their annoying subscription pricing for that still.

I've been noticing an annoying bug in the podcast app that I use, #Pocketcast.
I have overall loved the app, and paid for the pro web and mobile versions a few years ago.
But tbh I don't even know if I can handle sending a bug report to the #Automattic team that owns it now

So Pocket Casts finally got rate feature for podcasts. But no place to leave a review. I guess it's a start.

Premium Podcast App annual subscription pricing:
- Castro: AUD39.99
- Overcast: AUD12.99
- Pocket Casts: AUD59.99I am grandfathered into Pocket Casts Plus Lifetime so that has been my primary app for years and its the best podcast app for me. Its the only one that is multi-platform.
Having said that, if I was entering the podcast listening world on iOS, the choice is clear, start with Overcast and see how you go.

Trying to move away from #Spotify, as their Android app is a mess, and the company always seems to be up to some sort of villainy.
Haven't settled on a music replacement yet (probably #Tidal ) but I've moved all of my podcast listening over to Pocket Casts. Seems to run a lot smoother and I can enter RSS feeds in directly.

@jarango Migrated to #PocketCast from Spotify earlier this year, have zero regrets. Even if Automattic decides to sunset it rather than open-sourcing the app, you can still export your subscriptions as a standard OPML file.
