Testing visibility in late afternoon light with my spoke light "wheels o' flame" turned on. They're much more impressive when it's darker and I'm riding a bit faster; then my wheels genuinely look as if they're lighted all the way around. Fun effect.

I only go to the office occasionally--basically 100% WFH. When I do go I bike in everyday clothes. Started that shift a long time ago (lots of posts about it at www.BikeStyleSpokane.com) so now my wardrobe is 100% bikeable and also professional. I'm here to state that if you have a rough fingernail that you really need to deal with because you really really can't cope with that snag, and if you're traveling with a cyclist who has a patch kit, you have access to sandpaper and you will be okay. #fingernails #BikeTooter #BikeStyle #manicure

@ellie @tosia The skirts on bikes comment took me right back to a moment on my bike years ago that I wrote about on my bikey blog http://bikestylespokane.com/2012/03/24/the-skirt-scoot-a-key-maneuver/. For a long time I sought the perfect pants for biking (I won't link to the entire *week* of blog posts I wrote on this topic...) but realized I feel far more free and comfortable in a skirt. For me just has to be the right length and not too flowy so it doesn't catch in the spokes. I don't pedal toward crash potential.

Non-scientific data collection: biking 3.3 miles mostly without any shoulder, 9 of 10 drivers moved over so that at least one set of tires was across the center line. 10th one moved over more than 3 feet. Thanks, Olympia WA drivers, for real.
