  1. @ascentale @rasterweb @bikenite

What about those pedal powered rickshaw things?

Edit: I assume there are e-bike versions of those by now.

  2. And our last question this week as usual: your week in a photo.

Q8. What did you see this week? It's the end of August, are your seasons changing? Reply with a photo if you'd like. Cycling related or not is fine. Tell us about it!

  3. A #CarryShitOlympics question:

Q7. Are there any carts/trailers that are non-traditional for bikes but more common in other settings, that you've seen used for carrying long, bulky items? For example, a kayak/canoe cart: suspenz.com/collections/all-ca

Do these have the potential to be used for other similarly-shaped objects?

  4. Q6. I saw this video recently, and wondered if others have used an ebike to generate electricity? Are there any easy ways to try this out?

Is this practical, or silly? Both?

Of course it wouldn't generate a lot of electricity, but if one were trying to exercise anyway, might as well put those watts to use!

  5. @rasterweb asks:

Q5. Do you say "ride a bike" or "drive a bike"?

I've seen people use "drive a bike" which seems weird to me. Maybe I just think riding is mostly meant for things you are "on" where "driving" is mostly for things you are "inside of"... or riding involves balance maybe?

It's not 100% of course, but "driving my bike" just sounds weird to me.

  6. Q4. Do you have some sort of lucky charm on your bike? Can you tell us about it, and show us what it looks like?

  7. Cate Blanchett notably cycled away from a performance in London recently momentummag.com/cate-blanchett

Q3. Do you know of other celebrities who have been known to cycle? Any other instances recently?

  8. A while back, @EndCashBail asked:

Tell us about your bike/body/helmet mounted video recording setup and workflow.

Q2. What mounts, power sources, and cameras work for you, do you record every trip on every bike, and what do you do with all the video files this creates?

  9. A2. I guess it really depends how cold your winters are. I don't worry about it with mine (in the UK). When in use, it'll generate enough heat that it's not a problem. When it's not in use, I don't think a neoprene cover would keep it warm for long enough to make a difference. I can't remove the main battery, but my garage doesn't get cold enough that I'm worried about it.

  10. Speaking of folding bikes, @xtaran passed along this question from @stereo4x4

Q6. Oh no, my 1970s #foldingbike seems to turn into a brake-in-half-bike soon.

Any recommendations? Just clean the area and MIG #weld it? Add some reinforcement?
