Gorgeous, there’s laser-like focus and a textured finish--it's all come together perfectly. It needed a couple of years in bottle to blossom. It will be interesting to see how this evolves in the long term.
It was a good contrast with the Santorini (2016 Pyritis)--not as ripe or as nuanced, less saline, but perhaps more precise and half the price.

The color's darker & you can taste some oxidation, but there's also chirpy acidity & rich flavors. Tasty! Be happy if you still have this lively Assyrtiko, but drink soon. The flaw--wasn't as good the next day, when age and more oxidation caught up, power took over. 13%, synthetic cork. About $50 these days

This Assyrtiko from Pavlidis in Northern Greece is another of the nice examples OFF of Santorini. This 2022 is obviously young and fruity. Drunk next to a mature Santorini, it was an interesting contrast in both structure and style. This had its own merits, including nice balance and a sunny personality. Oak fermented, but it seems pretty pure. A pleasure to drink. Around $30
