The Pegau 1998 Reservée opened slowly, but blossomed into pure deliciousness. A little rough around the edges, it could use drinking, but it was no slouch. And a sweet conclusion posted on recently. There's still some backbone and flavor, but at times it is a little dull, a nice drink that probably would've been better a few years ago. Still, a pleasant pizza wine, alcohol under control. Another day, another portfolio tasting! Massanois is fairly new to #Virginia and so many of these wines are brand new to the market for us ... but many of these #wines are also well-known and well-respected producers.
