In 1924, a french doctor created fake archaeological artefacts, including tablets with an invented script. They were used to claim the appearance of writing in the middle of France during the late paleolithic.

Doing some (imprecise but internally coherent) georeferencing of plans from Tell Chuera. There is a strange lack of a nice and precise general plan for recent excavations at Chuera (which are extremely well documented otherwise), but the plans of the old digs are giving a good compensation.

Hello fellow mastodons, especially past-oriented ones! I work with neolithic stuff, trying to make some sense of it for me and ideally for others.
