Salut,
J'avais décidé en 2026 de faire 5 sympos. Je voulais faire Gatineau en novembre mais ils font relâche cette année. Ensuite je voulais le marché de récup de Noël à Montréal mais je n'ai pas d'hébergement et la location du kiosque est + que le double des sympos d'arts. Ça m'aurait obligé à trop augmenter le prix de mes sculptures.
A la place, j'irai à Joliette ! 🤸♀️✨️ Je suis ravie d'avoir été sélectionnée pour la première de cet événement! 😊

❗Call for papers: SCP 2026❗
Current contributions in the field of usable #security and #privacy can be submitted to the #Conference on Sociotechnical Cybersecurity & Privacy (SCP2026). SCP is a new conference, formed by merging two well-established and successful venues in the area of sociotechnical, user-centric security and privacy: #EuroUSEC (European #Symposium on Usable Security) and #STAST (International Workshop on Socio-Technical Aspects in Security). The goal of SCP is to create a unified, high-quality forum that brings together researchers and practitioners working across computer security, privacy, human-computer interaction, and the social and behavioral sciences.
Papers must be registered by May 20, 2026, and submissions are accepted until May 25, 2026. Accepted papers will be published through #IEEE. SCP 2026 will take place September 2nd and 3rd, 2026 in Belval, Luxembourg.

In addition to Melanie Volkamer and Peter Mayer from #SECUSO, Benjamin Berens is also supporting the program committee of the #Symposium on #Usable #Privacy and #Security (#SOUPS2026) this year. As of January 2026, SOUPS has improved its ranking and is now rated as "A" #conference. Papers had to be submitted until February 19. The PC members and reviewers now have time until mid of March to assess the submitted papers. SOUPS will take place from August 23 to 26 in Hannover, Germany: https://soups.page/

Our #SECUSO Post-Doc Dr Juraj Sikra (in crimson jumper) attended the DiTraRe #Symposium 2025 to present his #research about the data protection risks posed by #wearables to sports #science. Juraj also met with his colleagues Dr Katja Keller and Mr Christian Rose (PhD Candidate) from the Institute of Sports and Sports Science (IfSS). Juraj related engaging discussions not just about sensitive sports science data, but also the shared love of competitive sports.

The poster for the paper "A Short Commentary On: 'Would John Dewey wear a Fitbit? A pragmatist analysis of self-tracking technologies’ impact on habit formation'" by Juraj Sikra, Diana Dimitrova, and Lea Sophie Singson presents the results of the work of three subject matter experts which followed an individual textual analysis and inter-subjective reflection methodology to write a commentary on a philosophical paper.
The DiTraRe Symposium 2025 will take place December 2-3 in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Clawdeen: Rückblick NordCon
Wir waren zum ersten Mal auf der NordCon, also gibts dazu natürlich ein paar Eindrücke. Im Vorfeld Tatsächlich wollte ich schon immer mal gern zur NordCon, weil ich so viel Gutes darüber gehört hatte und mich (vor Corona) auch immer das Angebot an Workshops und Lesungen so angesprochen hat. Ich bin so jemand, ich kann mich von morgens früh bis abends spät in irgendwelche Vorträge setzen (mache ich bei Kongressen, Messen etc. nicht anders) und habe meist diebischen Spaß dabei. Dass erst jetzt der erste Besuch anstand, lag vor allem an der Entfernung. Die war früher zwar von NRW aus nicht so hoch wie von

J'étais très bien placée, directement à l'entrée. Les gens du mail passaient devant moi. J'étais au bout d'une allée. J'ai eu plein de beaux commentaires sur mon travail. C'est le fun les rétroactions.
Je suis pleine de gratitude d'avoir participé à ce symposium. L'imagination humaine n'a pas de limite. C'est fou commemt ce qui se passe dans une tête ne se passe pas dans une autre ! Choyée d'avoir été là ! 🤩
