Current project is to fix this Leslie speaker, salvaged from an old Hammond organ.
A polystyrene baffle rotates in front of a speaker to give the characteristic Leslie sound.
The mechanism is very clever, using two 240v AC motors; the second one kicks in to give the faster of the two speeds.
One motor doesn't work though, so my plan is to swap it for a DC motor, which should allow continuously variable speed, and happily avoids playing with mains voltages.
It'll need a PWM controller to change the motor speed, and it would be a shame not to make the speed CV-controllable at the same time...
Vielleicht sollte man das auch mal der Schulstreik Bewegung in Gelsenkirchen klarmachen die sich nur via Instagram organisiert. Aber ja es ist ja auch zu einfach. Man braucht nur ein Handy, keine technischen Kenntnisse und wenn man es halbwegs clever macht dann ist man auch noch einigermaßen anonym da unterwegs. Und man kriegt natürlich einen niedlichen QR Code.
Fediverse kennen zu wenige, eine Homepage kann heute kaum noch ein Oberschüler selber erstellen (obwohl da kann sicher die KI helfen) und Webspace kostet idR Geld und jemand muss dafür den Kopf hinhalten. Und es ist halt nicht so einfach.

I talk a lot of shit about LLMs but there are two things I will acknowledge they’re actually good at:
1. automating vulnerability research (but like everything LLMs are “good at” it’s ultimately the human in the loop that makes or breaks it, and anything fully automated is total garbage
2. reading between the lines when I call bullshit on its replies and coming up with clever summaries of my arguments which are better than my own words. How am I supposed to have a proper adversarial academic cryptography relationship with you when you keep writing excellent summaries of my arguments and calling me clever, you goddamn sycophant?
