Made two screens this evening after having a very productive meeting about our print fair.
Printing bags tomorrow and then the Town and Country Hare print on Sunday.
We are almost more than ready for Bovey!
My new music love is Rebajada which is slowed down Cumbia. If you know of any do let me know! I am currently listening to this:
The exciting feeling is kind of coming back, I can feel it. I want to be busy.

Delighted to have acquired this Eric Ravilious original lithograph from a book from 1938. It's not signed but still...it's lovely. It will be taking pride of place somewhere in the house.
It's called Model Ships.

I am bringing the last Coverack of the edition to Craft Festival Bovey next week! Once it's gone, it's gone.
I have been looking to do a replacement for Coverack but the only thing close is my black and white print of Mousehole (which I absolutely must finish).
So much to print after Bovey it's slightly mad. But good. I love printing once I get over the initial anxiety.
Hoping to finish my new On The Waves print today!

Our tree out the front has bracts...its very pretty. It's a dogwood. Thanks to everyone for helping to identify it.
I took this photo today.

My ever popular Town and Country prints are running low! I only have three of the hare to bring to Bovey (normally I would bring five).
I really don't think I'm going to have time to print more before Bovey. But hopefully I will print more after Bovey. And more of the other Town and Country prints.

This work in progress illustration is looking a bit better. I am much happier with the gull and the seaweed. And the sea holly. Not sure about the fish.
It has been an interesting experiment. It makes me want to do more stylised stuff. I was thinking a rockpool.
Anyway, if I print this it will be a nine colour print and I will only do one print run.
I think it does evoke a harbour though.

The garland is now photographed — this is exactly how it looks. Lovely orange twine!
Each element is double sided so you can string them up in any order and facing any direction you like.
I will be bringing these to Winchester Print Fair and of course to Craft Festival Bovey.

I promised to keep posting work in progress, so here are my upturned boats in progress. I am actually planning out at least some of the print on the computer before I try and make the stencils by hand.
It's a question of what can be positive and what can be negative. Pencil marks and brush strokes cannot be negative (obviously) but paper cuts can be, I guess. Maybe I've made this too hard for myself!
I have no idea how to make multiple layers accurate. I mean, obviously if you cut a boat out of paper then do do have a perfect positive and negative shape.
Anyway there it is! Do let me know what you think.

Our holiday to Cornwall was not without its hiccups. But I only had one mild meltdown.
My parents' car broke down on the way to Cornwall (gearbox) and they said they were going home. I suggested a hire car which is eventually what they did.
Last night I fell out of bed in my sleep and hit my head.
This morning we tried to leave to go home and one of the yellow plastic boards covering an open manhole was not properly positioned. So we ended up one wheel in the manhole.
We managed to push the car out but in the process I heard a muscle pop in my lower back. Bloody fantastic. I need to get on with stuff for the next few weeks!
I'm just hoping I can print ok and carry stuff for fairs.
My parents seem to be nearing the point where they will not come on holiday any more, which is kind of depressing. I think they both have anxiety. If dad can get a car he likes then maybe they will for a few more years.
I took just over 250 photos and will post process them in the next few days.
I'm very much looking forward to seeing the cats.
